What does an orchestra strike look like?

Are the pianist and tympanist on mounted drones or like, do the heavies stay in cover while the flautists, tromboners, and violinists charge out on foot to make some noise?

(Look, I know. But I chose to interpret it this way. Because a greedy orchestra owner should start quaking in their monocle whenever they hear Flight of Valkyries while walking around seemingly empty streets at night.)

The BSO has two more concerts on its schedule this weekend, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, at Tanglewood, its beloved summer home in the Berkshires. The orchestra is set to begin its 146th season in September, with Nelsons and Yo-Yo Ma part of opening night on Thursday, Sept. 17.

I had to look up who Nelsons was and I have to say, I'm a little relieved. Yo-Yo Ma deserves every accolade he gets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0QCHdQxqKI&list=RDi0QCHdQxqKI&start_radio=1
