In Morocco they do this absolutely insane mint tea. You have to pour it about twice to get the right strength and then it has a big brick of sugar.

We have bird feeders and of course it's going to attract mice so the catnip is there for a balance. We have a couple neighbor cats that make their rounds and I never see them going for birds. Always stalking out the mice. Win win!
