My beautiful idiot and terrifying demon.

[-] bedwyr@piefed.ca 13 points 1 week ago

The one on the right is surely the one plotting your overthrow.

[-] jade52@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 week ago

You are too correct

Mine are both sweet baby boos who walk on water and cure cancer.

This is one of the cutest pictures I think I’ve ever seen

He's smart when it comes to snuggle acquisition. And I don't think she's plotting a coup (yet), just keeping her options open.

"Why dontchu marry me already?"

"You silly.. I keep my options open. 💅"

They're Pinky and The Brain... they're Pinky and The Brain...

[-] Bishma@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 week ago

Brain: Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: Whoof, oh, I'd have to say the odds of that are terribly slim, Brain.
Brain: True.
Pinky: I mean, really, when have I ever been pondering what you've been pondering?
Brain: To my knowledge, never.
Pinky: Exactly. So, what are the chances that this time, I'm pondering what you're pondering?
Brain: Next to nil.
Pinky: Well, that's exactly what I'm thinking, too.
Brain: Therefore, you are pondering what I'm pondering.
Pinky: Poit, I guess I am!

Except the demon is also an idiot because she doesn't have a tail and is way less agile than she thinks she is.

Omfg that’s so adorable, oh that fucking face is so god damn cute

[-] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

Same goes for mice.

Beautiful idiot (left), terrifying demon (right)

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

The Fabulous Staredycat Sisters are both beautiful (and extremely affectionate 🥰) idiots with occasional bouts of rebelliousness 😁

[-] OrionTheElder@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Like my Jack and Loki. I'll let you guess which one is which.

[-] aim4harmony@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Jack, you idiot! sounds about right. 🤭

I have one cat and she is both

[-] Broadfern@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

My two youngest yes. My big girls are both equal parts cuddly, finicky, and territorial

[-] Ilixtze@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I had one grumpy goober and his biggest fan. Then the grumpy goober died of old age (20 years) and now she is my biggest fan.

[-] Taleya@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago

Get a ginger, they're both

[-] miked@piefed.social 5 points 1 week ago

Yep, that described my two boys.

One idiot that we are afraid to let out of the house because he is special needs.

The demon tried wouldn't even play with cat toys because they were too childish for him. Later found him attempting to open the front door. Lack of opposable thumbs stopped him cold. But he did whine about it.

[-] starlinguk@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Aye. We had Pooky (Up to Something) and Pippin (adorbs).

[-] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

We have one nice kitty and one idiot. The window slides around a bit.

[-] Exatron@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Mine are both idiots in different ways.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

In this house, he prefers the term, “evil genius”.

I've had more relaxed cats than excitable ones.

Childhood cats: Tabby named Brownie and a black half-Manx named Shadow (he had one little piece of stub tail). Brownie was aloof but accepted occasional pets. Did not tolerate being held. I was 7 when Shadow was born and his mother let me hold the kittens before she'd even licked them clean from being born, so Shadow thought I was mom. lol. I could do anything to that cat. I would often let him sleep upside-down on my legs, his paws akimbo and his head lolling off my knees upside-down. He we quite agreeable in general. One of my favorite memories is us putting down the turkey pan and him standing completely inside it, licking his way around. A delightful dork of a cat. Went blind, we moved to a house with a fenced-in back yard - both cats had been indoor-outdoor previously - so we let him out in the back yard. The squirrels would chitter at him but quickly figured out he wasn't a threat so they would ignore him as he'd try to stalk them. He… never got close, poor fella.

Adopted two cats when a friend became a girlfriend and then my wife. She had adopted a tiny run of a tortie that grew up into a chubby lady, Kaleria. And when she moved out (before knowing me) from a roommate with a gorgeous white shorthair with black patches on his forehead named Adagio, she took him because the roommate's boyfriend that moved in with his dogs that were aggressive was also hitting the cats. So she left.... with the cats. So I inherited them when she moved in with me. My childhood cats had just passed, so this worked to "refill" the cat need box for me. heh. Before we dated, when I'd go over to visit her - she was living with hey boyfriend at that time - as I was walking up to the door, Adagio would go to the door and meow. heh. We got along well, and he was also a very very relaxed fellow. I couldn't do much of the upside-down stuff, but he'd hang out and loved pettins. Kaleria was a bit more aloof, but loved pettins as long as you didn't pick her up.

A few years later, we got adopted by a flamepoint siamese - I was driving for work and my wife called and said, "....Honey....?" and I was like "WHAT. What is it." lol. So three cats - we named her Tesla, or Tessie for short. (Tesla wasn't big at that point, so it was after Nikolai Tesla). She absolutely wanted to be in the bedroom with us every night, but cats in the bedroom bothered my wife, so we had to teach her she couldn't be in there. One night in particular I remember she was just so insistent to come into the bedroom, but we held strong - she's gotta learn! Then morning came and she was still scrabbling at the door. So we opened the door - and she RAN straight into the closet! And my wife and I looked at each other - wait, what? You don't think.........? and that's when we heard ^mew^ ^mew^ ^mew^ of the THREE FUCKING KITTENS SHE HAD IN THE CLOSET. They had been quiet all night and we had no idea!!!! D: Felt so bad. lol. But that was now SIX cats, which was too many. So we adopted Tessie out and one of the kittens, and "my" cat was Pepper, and my wife's was Clockwise (named because she would, as a kittne, jump up on the counter. Yes, that simple). Sadly, Pepper passed after 4-5 years - found out later that you should always have even indoor cats neutered because there's a thing that can happen that kills them. Soon as she passed and we found that out, we had Clockwise taken care of, and she made it until this year - 19 years old. She started off very aloof and do-not-pet as a kitten, but over the years I worked on her - she never liked being held, but she hung out next to me and demanded pettins.

So out of all of those… all of them went crazy for treats or toys sometimes, but none of them were really "demon" cats. Even with the occasional zoomies. lol

i had one who was a demon who transformed into an idiot as he got older.

[-] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

One of my cats (orange girl) is a bright and fearless explorator, the other one (black boy) is a super cautious idiot that won't go anywhere unless the ground has been cleared by the first. If a comfy place has been discovered, the black one will shamelessly steal it from the orange one which will then search for another place (which will likely be stolen in turn).

They're also both cuddle monsters that require nightly belly rubs.

Our beautiful one is the evil one, not the goober

[-] Doublenut@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

Eh I have something more like an idiot demon and a man trapped in a cats body.
