And he gets IRS immunity for himself, his family and all the companies he is invested in so no one gets to see quite how large the grift is and they can all avoid paying tax
As marks go, we're living pretty high on the hog.
If you want to look at what it's like to get rooked, try living in any of our colonies and satraps.
The Japanese working class is eating double digit inflation once again. And they're about to get a Volcker Shock style recession to balance it out.
Then you've got the UK, suffering the worst drought in over a century with all their natural waterways clogged with pollution, curtesy of the fossil fuel industry.
And Honduras, fully in the thrall of a corporate police state. No education. No social services. Just cops armed to the teeth killing people for fun.
And Haiti. Functionally a slave colony operated by the US textile industry.
Let's not forget Trump's commerce secretary bought the rights to companies' potential tariff refunds for 20c on the dollar and then cashed in when they were reversed. Yes, Howard Lutnick.
Oh, sorry not him personally of course, just his company now run by his sons without any inside knowledge.

the cronies in the inner circle created a whole new "prediction market" scheme, to capture even more wealth for themselves, even against their own fake party principles of laissez-faire.
Lutnick (and Trump) knew who'd be holding the bag once the dust settled. and you know they're gonna keep doing it!

I would say this is more accurate than their next meal, people say Amazon is evil but refuse to give it up because "it's too convenient!!" but someone trying not to starve is a bit different
and most of these companies funded trump, i dont know about costco though.
Costco has been pretty consistent about not involving themselves with the current admin from what I've seen
