You can preemptively add "AI Datacenters in space", because that idea only shows that he has a very limited knowledge basis regarding physics in general and the limited ways of getting rid of heat when there's no medium to absorb it. He probably still thinks "Space is cold".

In the 2004 documentary*, The Punisher, we learn that you can be burned by something so hot that you won't feel it, you'll only smell the fat burning, and then you'll feel cold instead of hot. We know that this is accurate because John Travolta's average disgruntled employee screams when touched with a popsicle since burning heat is actually cold*.

This is how we know that datacenters in space will easily cool off, because, as further evidenced by water nearly immediately crystallizing, the heat of space is actually popsicles*.

You forgot about his hyperloop predictions. And his starship predictions

Yeah, he said (in 2016) that SpaceX would put people on Mars by 2025.

e: and yet, 💥

Maybe he's just a racist dick, that's all.

I know this was from the autonomous Tesla predictions list, but this quote from August 2022 doesn’t age well either:

The two technologies I am focused on, trying to ideally get done before the end of the year, are getting our Starship into orbit

[-] Wildmimic@anarchist.nexus 1 points 3 weeks ago

Maybe some of the fragments made it into a short term orbit? one time around the planet is enough for that lol

[-] DarkDecay@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

That is what you call the world's highest paid loser. If I had that track record at work I wouldn't be pulling in record bank, I'd be outta work

This is why I make the characterization that Musk is not an engineer or product guy. Only a really good snake oil salesman and finance guy. He's in the position he's in because of false promises and financial moves.

[-] Xerxos@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 weeks ago
