Oh hey you, I didn't expect to see you in here! Welcome!
Cognitive dissonance is common especially amongst those that don't do the work of examining their own biases and prejudices.

thank you for coming to my aid in that "girls get made fun of for everything might as well do what you want lol" debacle💖
Not a problem at all! I couldn't stand to see those guys tear you apart just because they got all up in their feels and couldn't handle it.
We love a good meme in here :)
Is there a link to that debacle?
Oh wow. I had to browse it incognito (as in not logged in) to even read that given the sheer number of blocked people in that thread. It was like a Who's Who? of "men who posted in WomensStuff unapologetically" that was.
Good lord lemmy is a hive of incels sometimes
Yes. Sometimes. Yes.
Because it's not for them in public and it makes them feel feelings that they can't act on while online they can do whatever they want.
Of only they would be nice and build trust they could go to places where people want to be touched.
Men will complain about women looking pretty and then complain that they don't look pretty enough, personally I think all women are pretty :3
Its envy.
Encountering this attitude in the haremlit space was strange. This is literally a genre about erotica and unconventional relationships... So why are you being so puritan?
Why do people like something in one context, and not something in another context.
Mhm there's definitely some men that can't stand to see a woman acting on her own accord, but will obsess over another woman doing the same as long as it's for men.
Yeah I think the commonality in these behaviors is that they serve to enforce the social order. Whether they realize it or not, that's what they're doing, and viewing it through that lens makes it much more clear what's going on.
Have you by any chance seen the community rules in the sidebar?
You too seem to be missing some context. This is a women's only community. Please refrain from commenting here in future. Thanks!
Easy: Control. Let's talk about hijabs and bikinis. Islamic patriarchies want sisters to wear head coverings. To them, it is good. But some independent Islamic sisters want to wear hijabs as an expression of their own faith. To those same patriarchies, this is bad. Watch how the Islamic right falls in with the christian right when people express support for women choosing to wear hijabs. The belief was never that women should or shouldn't wear anything; it was that women should be forced to wear what men say, regardless of what they want. Bikinis. A lot of men hate sisters in bikinis, but will go home and goon over any bikini content tailored to them. Again, it's not that women should or should not show skin; men just want women to have no agency over their bodies.
Really illustrative example, thank you!
Well they aren't wearing (revealing) clothing
I for one will never complain about a woman wearing revealing clothing. But gurl... That top with THOSE shoes?!
If it were sunny 24/7 you'd miss the night.

Hey ductTaped! Welcome to WomensStuff we're a trans inclusive women only community so ask men don't post. Thanks for understanding 💕
Why are you on my feed?
Because you’re browsing “all”.
Try subscribing to communities you like or start blocking communities you don’t want to see in order to tailor your experience a bit more!
Men just aren't very technically-minded. The concept that something called "all" will literally show them "all" content is alien to their non-technical minds best suited to watching men run into each other head-first and screaming out random epithets at referees.
Dude browses by "all" and has the nerve to ask why a community is on his feed.
Due to the past entire week of darkness it appears you may have been unable to read the community rules. This is a women's only community. Unless I am mistaken about the context in which you referred to yourself as a man in a previous comment elsewhere, please refrain from commenting here in future. Thanks!
