While the intake report memorialized allegations that multiple girls were murdered and buried at a Trump golf course, newly released Epstein records suggest federal investigators ultimately viewed the source skeptically. Other FBI summaries released by the Justice Department indicate complainants making similar allegations were “deemed not credible,” and no publicly released records show that authorities excavated any Trump golf course or uncovered evidence supporting the claims.

Guess the rich only ever saw consequences once: France in 1792

What would America's Storming the Bastille moment even look like? Storming the child-rape mansion that is Mar-a-Lago? Who's head would get carried away on a pike? Miller's? Theil's? Musk's?

Seizing the billionaires global assets

Taking everything from them

So depressing to see this get this many upvotes on lemmy. I want to go back to that brief period where I mistakenly believed that the userbase of lemmy was a bit more intelligent and skeptical than reddit's. Nope, still just voting on gut reactions to headlines on whether they fit confirmation bias or not.

'sure it's just an unsubstantiated fbi tip that doesn't make any sense if you actually read it. but trump bad so it must be true' A random guy making a salacious claim about a former president without any evidence isn't news just because you want to believe it.

+bonus round 'oh you're skeptical of an unsubstantiated salacious claim somebody made about a former president? do you think trump good or something?'

[-] JamesTBagg@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Considering how much information they had linking Epstein and Trump, and the tip told them where bodies are buried, you think they'd at least get some cadaver dogs out to sniff around the 19th hole.

[-] mgrecca2026@lemmy.zip 3 points 22 hours ago

he was already convicted of falsifying business accounts in New York. Its ridiculous that the Supreme Court allowed him to stand for election in 2024

[-] GoatSynagogue@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago

A person can run for election from jail. There’s nothing saying you can’t.

[-] spacesatan@lazysoci.al 1 points 21 hours ago

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the fbi probably needs a higher standard of evidence than "trust me bro" to get a warrant on a freshly out of office former president. Good thing this guy claims to have incriminating recordings of trump and oh wait he conveniently can't produce them, definitely not suspicious. I'm going to assume 'I was in the sinaloa cartel but they let me leave because I was tight with Epstein' guy isn't throwing up even more nutjob red flags.

[-] JamesTBagg@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

He never claims he was in the cartel but that he worked with them trafficking teen girls. How do we know he couldn't produce corroborating evidence since the FBI didn't follow up. It's not the job of victims or tipsters to investigate. There's a while Bureau within the Federal government that's supposed to conduct Investigations. That bureau had plenty of evidence for years linking Trump, Maxwell and Epstein.

More, just trusting the government is a very odd choice.

[-] JamesTBagg@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

I dunno, that's what the tipster claimed.

[-] Maeve@kbin.earth 1 points 10 hours ago

Maybe they're unfamiliar with the game or misspoke.

[-] Machinist@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Yeah, I haven't read the article yet, but the headline is certainly inflammatory. Change it to Biden and add some adrenochrome or satanic panic and it's q-nut BS. I just fucking looove that Blueanon is a thing now. Didn't we learn anything from that?

I guess we learned that people are stupid and gullible.

It makes me feel pretty down because it's so fucking hard to steer through the misinfo anymore. Hell, it could even be true. I'm too tired to dig on this one.

Practice information hygiene and stay skeptical!

[-] rumba@lemmy.zip 2 points 23 hours ago

We (most) weren't born into lemmy, the vast majority of us came from reddit.

The US is about to invade so many countries for unclear reasons.

[-] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 8 points 1 day ago

Cuba is the obvious one, they've already been planning it. But did you know Nepal is 2 weeks away from developing nuclear weapons?

[-] TransNeko@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I'm sure in the next few months India will magically be linked to nuclear weapons in the middle east. the proof? Trump said so between nappy times.

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

India has nukes it's why they are safe.

Money is a clear reason.

Fanjuls want their sugar plantations back and have been greasing the Republicans for years.

Underage rape parties, that would be.

[-] GoatSynagogue@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

Terribly misleading, intentionally and maliciously so. From the article:

from a single tipster who contacted federal authorities in 2021.

So while the “stop trump at all costs” plan was in motion, a single person contacted the fbi and simply made an allegation.

It’s nothing.

[-] OctopusNemeses@lemmy.world 1 points 22 hours ago

America will never jail a president. The country will end before they lose face. Which is why my bets are on the country dissolving. No matter how low or high those odds are. An American president will never face justice.

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

America doesn't care.

We only care about the price of gas.

[-] modus@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

That we have to use to get to work. To earn money to buy gas and pay taxes. It's a simple system.

[-] Stonewyvvern@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Conspiracy theorists could "in theory" use chemical sniffers attached to mini drones to detect gasses given off by human corpses and run the courses to narrow down where the bodies could be.

I would totally love to see the graphs and accumulation data on their findings...

[-] mgrecca2026@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

Once a pedophile, always a pedophile.

[-] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 22 points 2 days ago

Guys, hold on. Everyone stop.

Have you seen the Dow?

Uh oh! It's BELOW 50k?

Well then, let's continue talking about Epstein then.

Not to forget rape.

So child rape parties.

They've been doing this since the beginning. "Underage females", "sex", "parties"...

[-] EvasiveSpecies@lemmy.world 38 points 2 days ago

My first thought. Not 'sex parties'. CHILD RAPE parties. My goodness, this is making me nauseous. Horrifying.

I wasn't able to find anything that confirms "knew and funded" as true. To state the facts which is all we need to know is that Trump called Palm Beach police in 2006 and said “everyone” knew Epstein was abusing young girls. Also Trump said he was never on Epstein's plane which is a proven lie.

There's no need to push beyond what's already proven verifiable facts. Trump is a liar, was on Epstein's plane many times, and was close friends with known pedophile Epstein. That's enough fact to know he's a disgusting lying fuck.

[-] terry_jerry@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago

That's cause these aren't credible accusations. The full file release is a double sideded sword in that it contains truths and wild ass accusation that are false. They are definatley banking on the fact that the crazy stories get publisized, then disproven as conspiracy theories, and thus allowing people to just say everything is fake news. People in this thread are just adding to the fuel.

“As you know I represent the Rothschild’s”

  • Jeffery Epstein

You think it’s a coincidence Ivanka Trump “discovered” an Island they wanted to develop as a luxury resort for billionaires while on (in kushner’s own words) Nat Rothschild’s yacht? You think it’s a coincidence Don Jr married Epstein s bankers daughter? The Trumps have been trafficking and most likely murdering children for decades.
