That's kind of cool. Carney was pushing some stuff pretty quickly, is now slowing it down in response to the public.

Kind of exactly what I'd hope for from a reasonable centrist government.

Stopping short of admitting they were moving too fast or too far, the government said that it would extend the public engagement period until July 22.

Yeah this sounds more like he's going to allow the plebs to yell a bit more so he can later run through whatever he wants claiming he "consulted".

He's already got the CBC running headlines suggesting that this isn't just a meaningless pause. Don't fall for it.

And that thing about forcing the internet to keep user data and give the gov all the keys to spy on citizens without a warrant and under secret orders.

Bill C-22 is the biggest threat to canadians and anything resembling democratic norms. And bye bye privacy.
