I don’t know why this didn’t occur to me sooner. Even if you just use a junk account to like and subscribe it’s the cheaper version of donating.

PBS Terra, for one, has actual climate change news and science. In addition to all the other cool things, and, ofc, PBS kids.

Here’s the list: NOVA PBS official, PBS, PBS Terra, American Experience PBS, Frontline PBS Official, PBS Documentaries, PBS NewsHour, PBS kids, PBS Eons, PBS Origins, PBS SpaceTime.

It’s so good, even if you know very little about the field watching it over time you get context and learn who did and said what and they do such a good job at explaining. It feels educational and entertaining

To watch aeveral things online requires the pbs passporr subscription. Which I happily pay.

There are some good pbs passport shows on there too. I particularly like the Ken Burns national parks ones.

Love how he ends his videos like the comedians of the 90s did. The comedians would reference some joke from the first few mins of their set just before they leave stage, he always comes back to the word "SpaceTime".

NOVA has started uploading some documentaries. I think the best way we can show them that we'd want to see them upload more of their catalog is to leave comments on the videos asking for that---I know that Spacetime, at least, reads every comment left of their videos, so it's a great way to contact the creators.

In what reality does that present as logical

More like they were neutral, or tried to be, and were defunded for not becoming state propaganda. No different than NOAA getting defunded to keep people less aware of weather issues as climate change rolls forward.
