Sorry if this is the wrong community for this question (I don't know what would be the right community)

If someone was not romantically attracted to anyone, but still had the sexual desire for a particular gender to where they can masturbate to people from said gender, what type of sexuality would that be?

I don't think it's asexual. Maybe aro-ace?

Romantic interest and sexual interest can definitely be separate. You can be aromantic but not 100% asexual. But it does mean extra work to communicate it. Either you can separately mention both by saying aromatic heterosexual/homosexual/bisexual/pansexual or abbreviate as aro-het, aro-pan, etc. Or you can keep it vague with just "queer" depending on the situation and what you're looking to communicate to the other person in the moment.

Personally, I'm pansexual, but rarely have romantic attraction to masculine people. But I usually just say pan unless it's someone looking for a relationship with me and then I might say lesbian if they are masc for example.

Definitely read on asexuality, it broadens the understanding of sexuality in a way that benefits everyone. Also, I think you should separate what you feel from what you do and biological needs. You may feel certain kinds of attraction, you might have an urge for sexual release, maybe you prefer sex to solo masturbation, you can just choose one activity without feeling the need to do that specific activity.

Think about cake. Do you like all kinds of cake? Do you ever crave cake? Do you sometimes just crave something sweet and cake is a good option? Maybe you don't think about cake, but you know that you will like it of it's offered from time to time or as part of an experience with someone else. Finally, do any of that get labels? Probably not, but understanding yourself will make you happier. Personally, I go for definitions instead of labels, and that you have already provided. Just expand it - everyday.

Why need a label? You do you.

Asking myself the same thing because this sounds very similar to my experience. Maybe aromantic greysexual? But also asexual people can still masturbate, and even sometimes have sex with others. Basically you can call yourself whatever feels best for you. There is also this nice wiki which goed more in depth into the different ace labels: https://www.asexuality-handbook.com/the-a-spectra
