They were about to agree to a deal the day the USA and Israel started bombing. The negotiators had been telling people a deal was imminent. But instead Trump opted for killing people and causing economic chaos, then back to square 1.
Also, with the deal Obama had put in place, there was a pathway to sanction reduction as it continued.
like Obama did to secure the first treaty that Trump ripped to shreds, then the GOP tore Obama (and the DNC) 1000 assholes for every 10 minutes since? If you were old enough to vote for Obama, the term "pallets of cash" probably sound familiar...

if this pisses you off, don't look at what else Iran got in this deal (basically, everything they wanted)
They offered to get rid of it, with nothing in return just hours before the US decided to attack.
