Targeting the families of those who use the drones and machine guns? Seems like a really dumb idea to target the people whose bases you just moved onto so as to hide from the people.

Fascism eats itself.

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 31 points 1 week ago

What the ACTUAL fuck?

Are they TRYING to be as stupid as they possibly can be??

This isn't just shooting themselves in the foot. This is planting a live grenade in their own underwear while stepping barefoot on Lego and shouting abuse about a serial killer's mother to his face while covered in meat within an enclosure full of starving lions!

Remember fascist have always been fucking braindead, due to how their political cults tend to work they are far more interested in grand standing than getting effective results even within their own so called ideological framework. For example the Confederates had to start losing the war before they started using slave labor for things like logistics, which the abhorancy of slavery aside I thought that was one of the reasons to keep slaver, ya know to do the work noone can or wants to do.

trying? no. They simply are.

[-] SirEDCaLot@lemmy.today 27 points 1 week ago

I have known a few Marines. They will not appreciate this initiative.

This is not a wise course of action.

[-] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 12 points 6 days ago

That feels like the real slogan for the presidency "This is not a wise course of action"

[-] exaybachae@startrek.website 3 points 6 days ago

Too literate.... Use the wrong word in there somewhere, or mess it up some other way.

It's going to be great, but it may not work.

[-] Redditmodstouchgrass@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 days ago

"Multiple Marine-class lifeforms in the area. Are you sure whatever you're doing is worth it?"

[-] HeadfullofSoup@kbin.earth 25 points 1 week ago

They need hostage if they don’t want them to revolt

[-] killea@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago

Jesus, I thought it said Iran instead of ice. And I was thinking how that is kind of a stupid idea. What a fucking timeline.

[-] dipcart@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago

They'll wait until they're deployed to Iran though

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago

Them ICE people is jeniuses

[-] Sunflier@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

It's not just ICE here. The whole administration is malicious.

[-] guyoverthere123@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 1 week ago

let's fucking gooo

Marines vs Icebergs.

[-] Didntdoit71@feddit.online 14 points 1 week ago

When do the Marines get to target back?

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago

Ice has virtually unlimited money and complete intelligence, which is to say informational intelligence, not actual intelligence obviously. A few disparate Marines on their own do not stand a chance without organization behind them.

[-] Town@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 week ago

Ice is already around $170 billion, which is roughly three times the budget of the Marine corps.

Most people can't understand just how much money that is. $40 billion of that is going to building new detention centers and various kinds of concentration camps. That's about $7m per ICE employee every year.

[-] Drusas@fedia.io 2 points 1 week ago

And they have been wasting no time on spending it. They've been hiring and buying Americans' data and arming themselves.

[-] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 9 points 1 week ago

Not a Marine, but I do know they place a lot of value on loyalty.

[-] 2piradians@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

When you get no travel money, but the trigger finger still gotta pull some shit

[-] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago
