Someone from the old cult returns to the house, gets their behind handed to them by the Slayer. They were the boyfriend of the ghost, and repent upon being congronted with the unlive of their former gf, so you get your witchy demon worshipper in the party and an impossible love situation everyone goes for. Meanwhile the local vamps aren't too happy with the Slayer moving onto their turf and wake up an elderly vampire who was snoozing for the better part of the past century and has plans to make his clan feared again. Unfortunately his grandson and the Slayer meet while out and about and hit it off (Buffy & Angel-style).
You can pull season 1 out of that with little effort.
