A new Drop Site/Zeteo/Data For Progress survey also finds likely American voters are split on whether Trump is more responsive to the American people or to Israel.

Happy cake day!

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 11 points 15 hours ago

I mean it's pretty obvious.

An innocent public figure being accused of raping children would have immediately released a statement that he supports the release of the Epstein files to exonnerate himself and bring pedophiles to justice.

Trump did the opposite and went to the ends of the Earth to prevent their release.

So logic states he's either a pedophile in the Epstein files or being blackmailed by pedophiles in the Epstein files. And you can't be a functional president if you're either.

And even a dipshit like Donald Trump knows that conservative voters don't give a flying fuck about anything other than gas prices, so fucking around with a war that will guarantee raise gas prices is something you would only do if you REALLY needed a distraction.

Duh. They called it Operation Epic Fury.

Doesn't that sound weird as fuck to anyone else? They know what it stands for.

[-] zilouge@feddit.nu 3 points 17 hours ago

Epstein Fury

[-] hector@lemmy.today 28 points 21 hours ago

Operation Epstein's Fury. We all know it, prez is a blackmailed cuck of israel.

Fucking pathetic.

[-] BeardededSquidward 5 points 18 hours ago

He's a blackmailed cuck of probably everybody at this point.

Well obviously, but what I want to know is if the USA being the BFG-9000 of Israel was a planned goal of the whole Epstein "honeypot for powerful psychopaths" operation or if it was just convenient timing.

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 7 points 17 hours ago

Epstein had extensive ties to the CIA, MI6, and Mossad, primarily through his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell's father, Robert and his mentor, the father of Trump's first AG Bob Barr, Donald.

This whole thing is the culmination of the political intrigues that brought the Soviet Union down 40 years ago. Trump's people are just mopping up what's left of the anti-colonial resistance governments.

The Russia/epstien/isreal connection will come out in full one day. It’s for sure all deeply connected.

Are the majority of Americans ready to do something about this? No? Just going to keep toiling for the oligarchs like this is normal and acceptable? Okay then.

[-] entropiclyclaude@lemmy.wtf 2 points 15 hours ago

Tell me which example you have of a violent overthrow actually benefitting the people, without creating a power vacuum filled by a worse, more violent dictator.

[-] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

He also did it to help Russia recover economically.

[-] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 1 points 15 hours ago

This might be the biggest cope I've ever seen

[-] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 7 points 20 hours ago

Which is exactly what you want to distract from the Greater Iceland plan. Or was it Greater Ireland? No, Greater Italy. Still doesn't sound right. It'll come back to me.

[-] TronBronson@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

Your thinking of the island of the penguins we tariffed. We must make them submit.

Occasionally, the majority of Americans get it right.

Why would he need a distraction from the epstein files when he has zero chance of being held accountable for anything in the epstein files?

If the concern is losing votes, how is doing another horrific and unpopular thing helping him?

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 6 points 18 hours ago

He was probably told that bombing brown people would give him a huge surge in support. Problem is, the only people that get excited about such things tend to be the supporters he already has...

[-] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 26 points 1 day ago

Okay. Hear me out.

It might be because that's exactly the case.

Turns out an old man raping kids really sticks in people's minds.

Not GOP people, but normal people who are moral.

This isn't going away, and I sure hope the GOP doesn't change tack. It has absolutely destroyed their independent support. The GOP have lost 251 out of the 281 special elections held since Trump was re-elected and that number increased with the recent elections. Standouts have been a 31 point flip in Texas and a 17 point flip in Louisiana.

[-] kalkulat@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

It has been fun watching that Old Guard tearing themselves apart -every day-.

[-] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago

Yeah. I don't think MTG's district is gonna flip, but it's funny that the race is even that close.

They believe it because it's true.

[-] raspberriesareyummy@lemmy.world 4 points 20 hours ago

I really doubt that this causality holds in the news cycle. People rarely ever believe something because it's true.

Key word here is partially.

Was it a factor? Absolutely.

Was it the main consideration? Could be, but that's far less certain.

Rare case of majority of Americans being correct.

[-] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 86 points 1 day ago

Hard to prove, because there's always at least one horrifying scandal ongoing, and there's always at least six USA "preemptive strikes" happening at any one time.

[-] HalfSalesman@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

Who cares what us Americans think at this point though? We're morons. Fucking simpletons.

Because he did

[-] IratePirate@feddit.org 5 points 22 hours ago

So... People don't believe that Operation Epstein Fury is not about aiding the Iranian people topple the mullah regime? Bummer!

[-] TronBronson@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

I mean, I want to because it makes me feel better but I know that’s not the case

[-] IratePirate@feddit.org 1 points 14 hours ago

If you are incapable of prioritising what you want to be true over what your senses and your common sense tell you to be true, I'm afraid to inform you that you're no good MAGA material.
