I think the world would be better off if people took the best things from both sides instead of always fighting over extremes.

This was my introduction to the Deus Ex series, by way of a demo on an Official Xbox Magazine disc. I played it over and over.

It wasn’t until years later that I had a capable enough PC to play the original and, later on, fully experience Invisible War.

I remember that game. UI was horrendous, but the game itself was ok. Never replayed it though.

Even though I am a huge Deus Ex fan, I only played IW a while after released (with mods).

It was fine, but not that memorable.

The thing that I really didn't like were the tiny maps (due to the need to work on consoles of that era).

DX2 needed a remake or fix that removed the hard coded load times. The small areas would be forgivable on modern hardware with virtually no load times. The game itself was solid, the biggest criticism at the time being the universal ammo that Mass Effect and others used well. The loading screens being an issue came up later when we played it on newer systems.

Community for CRPG games and other RPG gaming discussions. Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Baldurs Gate as well as indie RPGs (Underrail, Avernum, Space Wreck etc.). Focus is on CRPGs, but discussion around JPRGs, ARPGs and hybrid games with RPG components is also welcome.

Tabletop/pen & paper RPG discussion is not a good fit for this community. Check out !rpg@ttrpg.network for TT/P&P RPG discussions.

Memes are not banned, but the overwhelming focus is on discussions, releases and articles. Try and post memes (on an occasional basis) that would make people who don't like memes admit "OK! That was a good one!".
