Strange, I think I can hear 'Creedence Clearwater Revival' playing while reading this...

[-] scarabic@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

I heard while he was in Miami he created a pretty big mess for his dad when he stole a retired assassin’s car and killed his dog.

[-] kittykillinit@lemy.lol 6 points 9 hours ago

Why should he fight Israel's wars when there are Americans who will do it for him?

[-] LordCrom@lemmy.world 15 points 18 hours ago

Dodging military service. Maybe he has bone spurs too.

[-] TheObviousSolution@lemmy.ca 5 points 17 hours ago

He has a face as punchable as spez's, too.

[-] Zink@programming.dev 52 points 1 day ago

Why don’t presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?

[-] sploder@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

I’ve always been a mega SoaD fan but the last year or so the songs hit so fucking hard

[-] Zink@programming.dev 6 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

Absolutely. I've probably listened to Prison Song this past year more than any other track of theirs.

They're trying to build a prison
They're trying to build a prison
They're trying to build a prison for you and meeee

[-] ParlimentOfDoom@piefed.zip 23 points 1 day ago

It's funny how this reads as: look over here, look how vulnerable he is. I certainly hope something doesn't happen to him. Right. HERE.

It was the fuck aroundest of times

It was the find outest of times

[-] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 39 points 1 day ago

34 years old? They speak about him like a teenager

[-] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 1 points 8 hours ago

34? I was serving my country at that age.

Not Israel nor the USA, for the record.

[-] andallthat@lemmy.world 34 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

He's the son of a Politician. They mature around 60 and reach that peak predator energy around 80.

[-] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 76 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Controversial opinion: more young Israelis should do what this man is doing. They should say "lol fuck this shit, who wants to be fighting anyway" and move out of Israel. North American and European countries should welcome them with open arms. Anti-aliyah. Who needs a shithole apartheid bunker state anyway? Settlers move out, come live free from that shit and Free Palestine.

[-] kittykillinit@lemy.lol 2 points 9 hours ago

This is what would solve the problem in the Middle East, which is why they will never do it.

[-] dan1101@lemmy.world 59 points 1 day ago

OTOH, the children of leaders calling for war should be the first on the front lines.

[-] angstylittlecatboy@reddthat.com 15 points 1 day ago

I mean, I guess I'd rather have him here than killing people? Still exposes the whole Israeli operation as a farce.

[-] Shanmugha@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

So he is not even in Israel. How new and fresh

When do we as humanity burn the fucking authoritarian playbook to the ground along with anyone following it?

[-] The_Terrible_Humbaba@slrpnk.net 14 points 1 day ago

I see a lot of people wishing harm on the guy. Do you guys even know anything about him? Because it seems you are all wishing him the worse just because of who his dad is. Shouldn't need saying that that is extremely fucked up.

[-] Upgrayedd1776@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

i think it is frustration at the merciless and targeted killing of children during Israel's genocide in Gaza. Israel really went whole hog on killing kids and i will probably have nightmares of seeing those little souls gunned down or blown to bits intentionally by Israel

[-] FatherPeanut@pawb.social 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

It's nice to see these remarks every now and then, really throws humanity back into us amidst our anger. Sometimes I think world leaders could use a bit of that lol

For all I bet most of us know, he could be a big POS, but he could also be someone normal who just happens to be son of a world leader. I just don't forecast getting worked up over the political life of a no-name son is quite the healthiest approach.

Surprise! Surprise! The elite class who start wars and sent ordinary people to their deaths at the battlefront are draft dodgers!

I dream of a world where whenever these 'leaders' and rulers declare a war, ordinary people on both sides drag them out of their castles, tie them up and throw them in an arena along with sticks, stones, knives and maces. The people can take positions along the gallery of the arena and cheer their leaders on, as the latter fight each other to their deaths. And if they refuse to do so, we can send along some wild lions and elephants for motivation.

Creedence called it almost 60 years ago, in the best anti-war song ever and a few decades later, SoaD asked "why do they always send the poor" in one of the best ones of this millennium

Guillotines are far cheaper. There's a reason they're a fan favorite.

I do appreciate this part, probably not intended as comedy but still very funny.

This man chilling in Miami. Lmao. Worst part about Miami, for a trucker, ain't nothing but oranges come out of south florida

[-] MintyFresh@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Lol my company sent me down to Florida a couple times a year. They'd always have me wait around a day or two in the vain hope a load worth hauling would pop up. I never minded, I'd just Uber to the beach for a day. Free vacation! Unless it was Orlando, which as far as I can tell is just a swamp infected with capitalism. Never cared for Orlando...

[-] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 29 points 1 day ago

Phew! I'm GLAD we can Let HIM live in Luxury while us AMERICANS Die for his Dad's War!

[-] TheLastOfHisName@piefed.social 24 points 1 day ago
