There is Friendica that is an alternative to Facebook.
Personally, if it's not federated and decentralized, it's hard for me to take it seriously. I'm totally okay with new social networks, but if it can't talk to other servers, what's the point?

This feels like a product nobody needs or wants. I can't even open the link on mobile Firefox to see what additional value the service is proposing as opposed to not using Facebook or any of its social media clones.
