I’m cheering for the bruise on his hand.

Clot 2026 is a platform I’d donate to.

[-] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago

You think president Vance would suddenly turn things around? The same puppetmasters are still pulling the strings.

[-] PhoenixDog@piefed.ca 30 points 2 months ago

Maga doesn't dance for Vance. He's a useless piece of crap for the MAGA movement.

[-] NotSteve_@piefed.ca 18 points 2 months ago

MAGA dances for whatever the hell they tell them to dance for. It's a cult and it's way far too gone for any one thing to snap them out of

[-] harmbugler@piefed.social 7 points 2 months ago

It's mostly a cult of personality. With any luck, when Trump dies MAGA dies.

[-] circuitfarmer@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Every MAGA comment I've seen about him sounds like they wish his dick was in their mouth at that very moment. (So it kind of is)

[-] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 months ago

I don't believe they wouldn't really behind him or anybody else who steps in immediately to keep the fascism and white nationalism going

[-] homes@piefed.world 10 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

He’s such a cowardly weenie, he’d almost certainly be completely useless. And while he may be a giant piece of shit, at least he’s not completely bonkers like Trump.

[-] loie@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Dude doesn't even know his own name, are we sure about that?

[-] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Ain't no one listening to a homophobic douche with permanent eye liner

Dude couldn't even master ordering donuts or come up with a better campaign than ordering donuts ineffectively

[-] RunningInRVA@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

How long have you worked here? Oh, great.

[-] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

What are we talking about

Well fuck. I had a second to stew on it, and that is a direct quote.

[-] AmbiguousProps@lemmy.today 9 points 2 months ago

It wouldn't turn things around, or even solve most problems, but it sure would solve one problem.

[-] Goodeye8@piefed.social 7 points 2 months ago

Trump is a piece of shit but he's got charm, he's got presence and people listen to him. He can straight up say shit that is factually untrue and his base will go "he's right you know".

JD Vance however is about as charming as a reddit mod. When he speaks people wish there was a mute button. The couch he fucks is more charming than him. Unless he goes through some transformation that makes him at the very least presentable Trumps base is going to turn on him. They're not going to listen to that ventriloquist puppet.

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

You think this trajectory we're on can get worse?

[-] RunningInRVA@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago
[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

It's not over yet and I suspect it will be getting much worse.

[-] AlexLost@lemmy.world 38 points 2 months ago

The guy doing unpopular things thinks we should not have anymore popularity contests. Hmmm...

[-] grimpy@lemmy.myserv.one 29 points 2 months ago

We shouldn’t even have a Trump, any Trump

[-] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago

Well we shouldn’t even have him in the White House but here we are.

[-] schema@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago

The media will downplay this as a joke, then they will normalize it as "what if..." and then it will actually happen.

[-] Soup@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

And then the population will go “damn, fuck that guy! Anyway…”

[-] floofloof@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

And then the media will carry endless pieces debating "both sides" of the elections vs dictatorship issue. Although they won't call it dictatorship: they'll call it whatever Stephen Miller decides it should be called.

[-] localhost001@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

All House seats and about 1/3 of the Senate seats are up for election each midterm cycle. Even if the midterms were delayed, all those seats expire at the end of their term regardless.

[-] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 months ago

Until Trump commands otherwise and his followers and the media go along with it and ICE kidnaps anyone who shows up to take their seat. Then what?

Do not put all your hopes on midterms saving you. Action needs to be taken now or there won't be anything left.

[-] sturmblast@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

People like you suck

[-] mlg@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago

With dems busy repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot, he'll probably make it to 2028.

[-] bearboiblake@pawb.social 15 points 2 months ago

He could be out by the end of this weekend if the working class got organized and just forced him out. Fuck the dems, we can't wait for them, and we don't need them. They voted to expand the military industrial complex, they protected the billionaire class and did their bidding for decades. Republicans are nazis and democrats are nazi enablers. We need to remove the whole bunch from power.

[-] duncan_bayne@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago

In the same speech, he warned: “You gotta win the midterms. Because if we don’t win the midterms, they’ll find a reason to impeach me. I’ll get impeached.”

Is he campaigning for the Democrats now?

[-] Gsus4@mander.xyz 12 points 2 months ago

"Are we there yet?"

[-] adespoton@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 months ago

I think he misspelled that last word.

[-] unphazed@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

A lot of victims would certainly love to ensure that never happened again.

[-] rumba@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 months ago

Let there be no mistake: he's testing the water not to see if he's going to do some authoritarian shit to stop midterms, but to see how bad it's going to be.

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Whats he worried about? Have his minions manufacture another distraction and half of the dem voters will sit it out again. Maybe he.could collaborate as a guest on the kardashians or something.

[-] regedit@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 months ago

Too bad you orange shit-stain. You'll lose more than your majority this year. Get absolutely fucked!

[-] DylanMc6@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

Dear Trump, we should have an election - in fact, the midterm elections are for this year. Enjoy what little time you have left in your second nonconsecutive terms, you orange tan-ridden lump of cluelessness. Sincerely, Dilly.

I think it's a real threat, not just a dumb thing to say.
