Since coming to lemmy I will browse all vs local and top by day. There is a solid amount of AI generated porn that has many votes in a 24 hour period.

To me the whole vibe is plastic tits and "smooth" skin. It looks off even when done well and all the faces look the same. Is anything it's more a technical feat than what helps me beat my meat. Also it's nearly all white women or pale Asians.

I agree, smoothskin. This makes me want to play fallout 2 again :)

There's not enough variety in body type either... It's just boring! And why is it only women, where are the men??

The most creepy thing is if porn is already fake AF why would someone wank to even more fake porn? 🤣🤣

Faces all looking the same is possibly because people are hesitant to post their AI images of IRL celebs etc. Stable diffusion is really good at creating that sort of thing

One of the most popular AI porn communities has IRL people banned as a rule. Can't say I blame them given all the ethical concerns.

Back in secondary school, before AI art was even a thing, there was a guy who sent me a pic of a girl in her underwear. The head was out of frame, but he claimed he had been sent it by another girl in the school.

Of course, it wasn't her. Pay even a little attention to the picture beyond the boobs, and it's obvious it's someone else. It was a shitty thing to do, especially for the girl he claimed it to be. I think he just wanted the credit for something he found with very little effort.

We don't talk anymore, but I feel like he's the kind of person who really enjoys AI porn. He gets to put in very little effort, then claim credit for something that falls apart if you pay attention to it. And he doesn't like people, so he's fine with them being completely removed from the action.

It’s weird for sure. Like an uncanny valley cartoon.

Honestly I've been wondering why AI porn is so... predictably unusual? Like I would have imagined having AI means we'll have absurd pterodactyl porn, but instead it's just nude photography but AI

Between the removal of nsfw from r/all and my browsing Lemmy there seems to have been quite the explosion in AI generated nudity. One of the things I liked about the r/all nsfw was the “discovery” as I might flip through the days latest news. I say that because the images I’ve seen are whatever you horny bastards upvote enough to make a Top list. The AI images look like bad Instagram filters - or maybe filters that are just too good. It’s almost past the uncanny valley, but not quite. As for the skin tone and ethnicity I just assume that’s the bulk of the user base self-selecting.

I will say that my teenage self would have been salivating at these. The older me finds most of them, if not disturbing/offputting for appearing so young, a bit too perfect for my taste. To drop a quote: “the sadder but wiser girl’s the girl for me” these days.
