It feels weird to have someone else pick my nose.

I would think that it might not serve a government purpose, but it could serve a social one.

For a lot of societies, care of the elderly is supposed to be performed by the children. A marriage has the implication that care isn't just for their own parents, but the in-laws as well. I expect a divorce like this servers that familial connection, people no longer have to care for their in-laws.

Ain't nothing wrong with that.

It is a pleasant major Western city, with all the pluses and minuses involved in that.

Yes. It is a percussive instrument similar to cymbals.

Wikipedia makes most of its money from donations, with some money coming from other sources like commercial API access. It consistently raises more money than it spends and has been building an endowment. However, that income mainly comes from the fundraising drives.

Wikipedia has an endowment, but it isn't enough to run the website for more than a few years.

In terms of expenses, the largest expense is in having staff to run the various websites and foundation. Charity auditors rank the foundation highly on expenses, so the foundation is likely not overpaying staff.

Wikipedia needs donations to survive, but it isn't struggling. If you feel like you have better things to donate to, it is probably ok for now.

One of my favorite theories about life is that life may not have originated on Earth.

It is likely that Earth stayed molten longer than other planets due to the collision of two large bodies that ended up creating the Earth and the Moon. That could have led to other planets having a head start in creating life. We know that Mars had liquid water on it before it lost its magnetosphere.

We have some evidence that life can survive on meteorites, potentially allowing for the transfer of life across the solar system.

So, it is possible that a meteorite hit Mars, causing debris to get ejected into the atmosphere. From that, one of those rocks with life hit Earth.

At minimum, we need politicians to start using other options to allow for people to deplatform.

It isn't a movie itself, but the "work sucks" genre of films had its peak in the 90's, specifically 1999.

I know what I wouldn't do.

I wouldn't give a human woman and dolphin man LSD in a shallow pool meant to look like an apartment while having the human give the dolphin hand jobs.

Is China asking to colonize countries in the Americas?

As bad as how conditions were shown in the Bell Riots, conditions now are a lot worse.

Both B5 and DS9 had bars on station, but have and space stations have a fast food restaurant?

People here like to say "I don't use social media; I use forums" like there is a difference between the two. There isn't.

Forums are places where people post and comment on user generated content, other comments themselves.
