Sadly, it's not as easy as many commenters are saying. There's a reason most Canadians live along the US border — they need the US.

Of course, a more self-sufficient Canada is good for North America in general. They have the space but most of that space is hostile to human life. I still think Canada has potential to be more important and less reliant on the United Stated, though.
