Microsoft is why I’m on Linux

Same. I saw the way the wind was blowing and switched from Windows 11 last spring.

And the enshittification will continue until they have true competition.

I have to admit, not a route I'd expect, certainly not one to become a norm given different use cases or the steeper buy-in.

I'm so glad I don't use it anymore

Interesting, what percentage will still insist on using Windows if Microsoft start plugging users' asses?

Me with Rufus: "You cannot stop me."

They really want to turn Windows into iOS. All apps form the Microsoft store, locked bootloader.

And more and more reason to stop using windows. Oh btw Winboat is a thing now. As is WINE and Proton.

And this is why I use the LTSC version and disable updates. Yes, my system isn't as secure, but considering the usual attack vectors have moved more towards social engineering lately, being free of Microsoft's nonsense outweighs the outdated security in my view.
