You cannot institute change by expecting people to radically change their ideologies overnight. It happens bit by bit, through actionable steps, not condescension and anger.
Ask yourself this, do you truly want people to become more progressive, or do you just want to feel morally superior by yelling at people who don't meet your standards?
American liberals are just trying to do the bare minimum of fighting fascism, and even that is a monumental task. Political infighting in the American left only helps conservatives.
