Did you just edit the post to censor "bush" to get more engagement?

[-] RedStrider@lemmy.world 35 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

i posted it because i realized i commented on 196, then thought it would be funny if i censored bush but not fuck, so i edited the post.

(edited for clarification)

Why? Engagement is worthless on lemmy of all platforms...

[-] RedStrider@lemmy.world 28 points 3 weeks ago

idc about engagement, i was just sleep deprived and thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I love your brain. Lawful chaos icon. Never change. Unless it antagonizes someone, that is.

Someone explain the use of question marks on sentences that are statements.

[-] fushuan 19 points 3 weeks ago

It's the shortened version of "he invaded Iraq, are you okay with that??" Or some variation of that.

It's usually used in statements that put the above into question. Something like, "yeah, but X, please elaborate".

[-] zea_64 15 points 3 weeks ago

The written form of how people speak to signal confusion, that thing where their people go from lower to higher pitch at the end of a sentence the way they do with questions, but with statements instead.

[-] ZMonster@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

It indicates low confidence. In this context it is because the response is an absolute hail mary wild guess.

Crazy having to look at posts directly from my Tumblr mutuals posted on this community that banned me for being a trans person who didn't worship Ada

This community always makes me sad to see, so many lgbtqia+ people unknowingly support a sack of shit like Ada. Just because all dissent gets banned.

I'm sure this comment won't last long, considering how terminally online she is.
