Mac is not an acronym.
It is only an abbreviation of macaroni.
Mac and Cheese would be redundant if it were an acronym.

Somewhat on the same topic, can someone explain how "asf" came about (meaning "as fuck")? I mean I get it, some lazy bums can't be bothered to type "AF" (with the capital letters), but why add an extra letter out of nowhere?
I suspect it started with self censorship ("as f") rather than abbreviation.
Mac is just a synonym for "good European food Amerikanized into cheap junk with chemicals."
Imagine! Why would one eat "Mac" when you can have pasta with sauce Mornay?
