It blows my mind that people want to eat at Cracker Barrel, like, at all. A "too generic" logo is fitting for the company. The food is all bland and unappealing. We fought wars for spices, y'all, could at least eat em, huh?
It’s where old people and conservatives eat. It’s very cosplay. You even exit through the gift shop. I’m amazed they don’t make their waitstaff wear pioneer uniforms or overalls and straw hats.
As the church-going boomers continue to die out, their revenues will continue to shrink.
Cracker Barrel’s CEO seems to be following the Ruby Tuesday playbook — modernizing/updating/genericizing put them out of business.
Every time I see the name, I think of Chef from South Park saying, "How are my little crackers, today?" I drive past one on my commute, so this is a near daily thought.
