The deal is:

When CSAM is a thing, a child has already been violated.

When conversation is being controlled, government or whoever reads all of your messages.

It means cops can CSAM you, and you can do nothing since cops are “protected people”

i'm sure the kids who were abused would say otherwise

Encryption doesn't abuse kids; pedophiles do. There're plenty of documented ones in office actually voting for the removal of your (human) rights to privacy.
