And nobody helped him.

It's been unethical since it bloody started. Israelis and Jewish have been treating Palestinians and Muslims like absolute shit since the last time IDF attacked the region, which stopped in 2005, so no surprise when the Hamas government retaliated in October 2023 the Israeli government were gagging for a reason to eradicate the whole existence. Call me biased but I felt that the IDF and its government were in the wrong ever since they bombed civilians, and were clearly evil when they kept it up. I'm pretty sure, with the first hospital (Al-Ahli I believe), they said it was actually Hamas which caused it, and later in 2024 with Al-Shifa hospital bombed to oblivion, they said this exact same thing about a tunnel. Even if Hamas was using the hospital as a shield, actually bombing it is evil.

Edit: Relevant conversation on Al-Ahli from 1.5y ago. Edited comment with more accuracy, I was confusing two hospitals.

Oh my, it couldn't be related to the US massively reducing their demand on the country's manufacture, could it?! If more people stopped demanding cheap, unnecessary, poor quality products with high environmental and ethical costs, maybe China's emissions will drop even further!

I was surprised and disappointed to learn that Github is owned by Microsoft. Is there an alternative that everyone can use to abandon ship?

My router (more accurately its software) has VPN support, using it for the whole network. You might be able to find one

Correct, but there is an Emby app for every device.

The more people realise that currency isn't the only possible form of payment, the better. Time, physical and mental energy are three of the most common things people trade, above money.

I tried to check the definition of 'currency' with Oxford English, but they require an account and subscription before being a dictionary. I would use Collins, but it's riddled with adverts (empty squares and "We don't like ads either. Pay us and we'll make them go away") and that's above my budget. Cambridge is still useful, thank fuck.

I hate to turn my nose up but the 1080p screen is a dealbreaker. They keep trying to charge desktop console prices for a handheld, and one that lacks modern features. Any internal spec is moot

So a bus, but triple the fare and only 6 seats

I do not normally say this, but please, for the love of fuck, make Gemini a premium feature

Cortez is clearly a Redditor with that quote

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express have either already stopped or will soon no longer require customers to sign their receipts when checking out.

Who the hell makes customers sign the receipt? I've only seen an employee sign it, and that's for a return/refund.

They're calling it a Glacial Glass Squid. Turns out, though, that this guy is more closely related to our version of a Crabsquid.

~~My network has reset several times and I've narrowed it down to an apparent DDOS attack. Never the same IP source, all hitting the specific port I use for incoming qBt traffic, shutting down the client doesn't help, router is getting 10-20 requests per second for idk, several hours. Is there anything I can do about this?~~

Edit: Thanks everyone, it's apparently not an attack and my router just sucks aha. It was overheating so I took its coat off. My router's log was filled with "DoS(SyN-Flooding)" messages, and according to Wikipedia that's a DDoS attack.

I wrote a script to run with Node JS that near perfectly organises (renames and moves) torrented movies. It is designed to work in Linux, to transfer to Emby folder convention. I was working on making a TV show version, maybe merging the two, and porting it back to Windows where I first built the script, but I recently discovered the *arrs do it all. Still, if anyone wants a script that does its best (with guidance and thorough logging), I've stored it here.

Edit: For other reasons I built another script that can clean up an existing media directory, deleting files with any extension the user chooses (subs, images, thumbs and movies with multiple qualities leaving the best one). I've added it to the same repo. This script was more of a WIP, but it gets the job done and includes a help argument.
