meanwhile the outrage over church rapings remains completely nonexistent

Step 1: outlaw porn Step 2: call LGBTQ folks pornographic Step 3: outlaw LGBTQ folks You see where this is going. Outlawing porn is laughable and stupid. But then you see the hidden agenda and it's fucking horrifying.

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Step 4: get caught with literal LGBTQ pornography

[-] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 20 points 5 days ago

The agenda isn't even hidden; it was spelled out in Project 2025

You forgot the step in between that mandates Palantir to embed spyware into every personal PC to monitor what you look at and report your deepest secrets to an agency with AI tools designed to judge if your kinks are dangerous to society or if reading historical accounts of slavery can be considered "pornographic."

Guys, this is VERY serious, they are going to start locking people up for looking at material that they decide if it's obscene or not. This should be getting spammed on every gaming board, 4-chan, Asmondgold's subreddit, every fucking place that out-of-touch gaming chuds hang out and tell them very clearly that their support for Trump is going to get them locked up for looking at hentai.

[-] jsomae@lemmy.ml 2 points 5 days ago

There is no need for step 3, since step 1-2 cover that.

[-] MantisToboggon@lazysoci.al 56 points 5 days ago

This guy is definitely jerking off dudes at rest stops.

[-] maniclucky@lemmy.world 30 points 5 days ago

Or grooming children at church.

[-] bhamlin@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

¿Por que no los dos?

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 59 points 6 days ago

The good news is that a large portion of the top pornography sites are owned by a Canadian company. The true north strong and actually free.

[-] ameancow@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Okay but that doesn't have any bearing on Palantir planting spyware into every American personal computer and deciding if your browsing habits are considered terrorism and taking you to a blacksite because you looked at an AI image of Lola bunny naked.

There is no good news here. If you're not actively calling your Senators and demanding privacy and threatening grassroots campaigns to get them removed from office, you are letting them take away your most personal freedoms.

It's honestly not much at this point, but even a single deciding vote could delay this fascist takeover of our personal lives.

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

I'm not calling my senators and complaining because I don't live in a neo-liberal fascist dictatorship. I live in a country that owns a huge part of the biggest porn properties on the internet.

[-] ameancow@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

I'm sure Canada is completely immune for all time and will never have corporate interests spend vast sums of wealth to subvert and farm dry once their nearest neighbor is an expired husk.

[-] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 48 points 6 days ago

I bet he rapes kids.

[-] frezik 41 points 5 days ago

Clarence Thomas seen sweating profusely.

[-] ameancow@lemmy.world 7 points 5 days ago

They are not at all in danger and not at all worried. Lets not spread this coping BS.

They are the ruling class, they are immune to these laws if they pass. They are the ones who BENEFIT from them.

He wants to ban porn because his wife found his 100+ tabs and now he’s over reacting to please her

[-] tane69@lemmy.world 21 points 5 days ago

Mike Lee is a pedophile legitimately so this bill is extra ironic

[-] BonkTheAnnoyed 10 points 5 days ago

If you're wondering about who this bill is actually targeting...

"Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual liberation, and child welfare," it states. "It has no claim to First Amendment protection." ___

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

It's also targeting cishet vanilla porn. Fighting this is going to involve prudish trans people working alongside gooning transphobes.

[-] yumpsuit@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

Is there a porn genre where someone reads you an academic queer theory tome? I think a lot of Senators could benefit from sapiosexual gooning, and C-SPAN could broadcast some thrilling filibusters

[-] Zaktor@sopuli.xyz 10 points 5 days ago

labeling all phonographic content as obscenity and rendering it illegal nationally.

Drink it in now people, this will soon be illegal.

[-] yumpsuit@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

going back to etched wax cylinders, if ya know what I mean ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

[-] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 11 points 5 days ago

It's likely going to pass and make viewing porn a complete hassle.

Can anyone recommend a good uncensored diffusion model that can generate good quality pr0n on my local GPU? All I am aware of is Juggernaut-XL Ragnarok on Huggingface and CivitAI sites, but both are censored pretty hard.

Because that's what's going to need to happen when porn is inevitably locked out thanks to Christian fascists complete control of the government.

[-] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Just start jerking off to things that you want to see banned and then reporting them as porn in explicit detail.

I am writing to complain about that airing on public television of this year's Republican National Convention. I have never in my life cum so hard as when 600 bbw waddled on camera in their "You can grab my pussy" T-Shirts. That fact that this content was then disseminated, much like myself, across several news organizations and the internet is a clear violation of our Great Nation's Ban on Pornography. Since porn has been banned, I cannot stop blasting hot loads to the Republican Nation Convention's pasty audience. Please stop ramming this down my throat. I am only a man.

[-] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Because that’s what’s going to need to happen when porn is inevitably locked out thanks to Christian fascists complete control of the government.

Honestly it will become a moot point sooner or later. Jailbroken and open-source AI tools can already generate porn images, and videos aren't far behind. And porn isn't high cinema or fine literature. AI art is soulless and without a voice, but that matters a lot less for porn. It's still not easy for the average non-tech savvy person to access these porn-generating AI tools, but it's only a matter of time until they are dumbed down enough to be accessible. Hell, someone will likely create freeware image and video generation tools specifically optimized to generate porn images and video. At that point, any horny teenager can get a copy of the AI porn creator. And even if the tools are somehow banished from the net, such tools could easily be passed via sneakernet. Once the tools are convenient and packaged in an easy to use form, the idea of porn bans will be laughable. Anyone can just pass around an app on a USB stick that can generate an infinite variety of customized AI porn.

[-] ameancow@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

It's going to become a moot point because there are several huge agencies who are chomping at the bit to have an excuse to monitor your computer from the inside and report all your browsing habits among other personal details to some giant AI system designed to isolate and flag anyone who might be a threat to the Empire.

They already have this kind of program, but having it out in the open will make it so much easier to make sure every computer user in the country is tagged and monitored.

[-] AceFuzzLord@lemmy.zip 4 points 5 days ago

Quick! Someone out hom for his porn addiction! /s

Won't be surprised when his Internet search history gets leaked and porn sites fill a chunk of it. All of these prunes are closet porn addicts and nothing is gonna change that.

-Republicans who called Jeffrey Epstein a Hero and FULLY Support Trump giving Ghislaine Maxwell FREEDOM and FULLY Support dropping the age of Adulthood and FULLY Support the Catholic Church!

[-] TachyonTele@piefed.social 6 points 5 days ago

I wonder how many people have tried to flat out ban porn throughout the years.

[-] ameancow@lemmy.world 7 points 5 days ago

While it's not a new idea, every time has led to suffering and persecution, and it should be taken seriously every time they try because it's not about porn, it's about controlling and monitoring a population and removing "threats" to the new order they are trying to establish.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

Why do these assholes not understand freedom?

[-] oyo@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 days ago

Mike Lee thinks trans people are taking over and corrupting the country because he just can't stop watching so much trans porn . It has to be the lib trans agenda that makes him keep jorkin it to trans porn every spare moment he gets.

[-] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

To be fair, trans porn is the best possible porn.

[-] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago
