remembered some "innovative startup" spamming me with their shitty AI interview for like a week. just shadow these mfs folks.
As a hiring manager, I swear, the shit we sift through is insane. Not sure how to disqualify the horde without also leaving the living out there to get devoured.
I have no problem with them. It's just a way to cut the massive chaff. Foreign outsourcers, idiots applying to every posting - I get it. And the bonus is that you hear the actual voice. How many times do you find the interviewee can't string together 2 sentences? Or drifts off into unrelated topics? Or can't pronounce the skill they are a supposed expert in?
I find that being able to work with whatever the employer throws at me is an important job skill. And interview skill. That other folks give up immediately is a big boost to me.
We use workable. It filters out a LOT. even then, they get through. i'd say we get to about 2-3 video screenings a month, and of those 1 make it through every 3 to 6 months for a video interview.

Every time I look at a position or apply for a position and get a hint of AI, I stop pursuing the process. I'm not wasting my time talking to a fucking chatbot; I'm trying to put food on my table in exchange for actual hard work in the field I've worked in for a decade here.
I am not interested in talking to a chatbot.
Boring dystopia: Employees automatically generate and send out applications with an LLM Agents. Employers in turn let another LLM agent review those, send out interview invitations based on ??? and conducts interviews.

What does that even mean? Going homeless by not able to pay rent or starving because no money for groceries? What a weird euphemism.
If LLMs are smart enough to judge me, I am sure chatbots are smart enough to do the job. They should let chatbots do the job they were hiring for.
