LFG SP(Shadow Priest)

[-] WindyRebel@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

QQ

My gamer self wants to know why you’re crying or insinuating that I’m crying. Oh, quick question? Just fucking ask and stop priming me for your next move.

[-] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 3 points 1 day ago

I send people to https://nohello.net/en/ all the time

[-] kamen@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

It's ridiculous how lazy people are today - especially that with autocorrect, it's often harder to type the shortened version of something than to let it complete the thing for you.

"LFG"
Dude, we're already in a group...

[-] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 68 points 2 days ago

The CEO at my old company really likes the expression "Let's fucking go" for some reason. Lots of "LFG" in the work chat. I guess he eats a lot of LinkedIn slop or something.

But to me, "LFG" means looking for group. I'm sitting here like why is the CEO spamming for group content during the work day, and he's not even saying what role he's playing.

"CEO LFG SM"

I'm not bringing that low contributing shit to Scarlet Monastery.. CEOs probably play like healers, but without the heals.

[-] CaptainBlagbird@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

Leopards Fuck Gently

[-] twack@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Let's fucking go.

Edit: for that matter, "LFG, LFG!" is a grammatically correct acronym sentence.

[-] jaschen306@sh.itjust.works 1 points 21 hours ago

Please tell me this isn't really what this means.

[-] okmko@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Oh no... Whelp that's that. I'm officially old.

I have this problem when people use abreviations for game names. There are so many games that it's impossible for me to understand. And good luck to find out which game it is if it's a new one you never heard of...

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 1 points 15 hours ago

It can sometimes work if there are more than one character involved TES:III, F:NV, EU4, CK2, VIC2, HOI4, and CoC are all good examples. Also yes I did use a bunch of paradox games but only the ones I have more than a thousand hours in.

[-] Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org 63 points 2 days ago

Man I love CP, if only it didn't take up so much space on my hard drive.

[-] Aurenkin@sh.itjust.works 33 points 2 days ago

Acronyms are a pet peeve of mine. Basically useless and now you need tribal knowledge to understand what the hell someone is talking about.

For those that don't get it... it's copypasta meme from that banana bread rant

[-] Stalinwolf@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 day ago

My cousin used to post things like that on Facebook/MySpace all the time during his emo phase. They appeared to have been secret messages intended for his crush(es) to decipher, and it made me want to die a little every evening when a new one would manifest.

It would read something like "HILYMTLIAIWTBYH", which (upon decoding) meant, "Hailey I love you more than life itself and I want to be your husband". Whether or not Hailey ever wasted her time on such an obnoxious endeavor is unclear. I certainly hope not.

[-] CascadianGiraffe@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Oh yeah that's frustrating.

At least the one I posted is easy to identify. (Dude I Got Some Fucking Banana Bread At Work Today...)

My latest one was rq.

I thought it was a typo.

It stands for 'real quick'.

[-] Gladaed@feddit.org 2 points 1 day ago
[-] redwattlebird@lemmings.world 1 points 1 day ago

Not according to the gen z who I was chatting to. Also, rage quit would have made no sense in that specific context.

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Idk, I mean can't you just pick it up from context?

Lmk if you genuinely can't.

I encourage people to meet expectations. Petting is important. How will you ever get the second date if you don't wear the collar?

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 1 points 15 hours ago

196 is that way.

I was really hoping that reading all the comments would inform me about what GM means here

[-] juliebean@lemmy.zip 19 points 2 days ago

given the context, i suspect it just means 'good morning'

[-] ramenshaman@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

The fact that someone would shorten 'good morning' to 'GM' and go through the trouble to put it in all caps bothers me
