I loved this episode. South Park pissed me off when they used kid gloves to mock Trump in his first term, but they're redeeming themselves in my eyes. This is the first time I've looked forward to seeing an episode in over ten years.
Apparently they had both endings ready, pending the election results, but they didn't expect Trump to win. Then they had to just roll with it going forward. It's hard to make satire of something that already feels like a satire in real life.
Nah, that was a lame excuse. They've had no problem excoriating celebrities for doing minor dumb stuff, but they don't even try to really tear into neo Hitler? This feels like a correction of a past wrong.
What was the past wrong you are referring to? They spent entire seasons mocking Trump. I'm not sure that any of their satire targets got that many episodes dedicated to them.
It was treating him like he was just some goofball rather than an existential threat to the US. The same thing most other things making fun of him did/do.
And that's just the people that watched in on "dry land."
You won't see my 3 watch throughs in that statistic.
my 3 watch throughs
If you watch it more than three times, you're just playing with it.
I watched it once. Got sent to a few weed and porn sites, but that's alright. It was decent, pretty entertaining.
Are you raw dogging? You need adblockers, brotha.

I have mixed feelings on this episode.
Although I like the presentation of Trump as a near clone of the Saddam Hussein character of South Park’s heyday and pointing out the gross control of media outlets, I have a hard time with the massive amount of slur usage.
I understand that the hyperbolic usage of the slurs and other offensive language in this episode is intentional and is calling out how backwards it is, but when you’ve had the f-slur violently thrown at you in situations where you’ve felt unsafe, it sure hits differently to have it carelessly bandied about like its still the 20th century.
The idea behind using the word "faggot" was to illustrate how political correctness has been destroyed by Trump. The episode is a wake-the-fuck-up call.
The consequence of all trumps "anti-woke" (asshole) rhetoric, is that something as shockingly backwards as saying "faggot" has become normalised (and Jesus is back in school lol).
If the usage of slurs in this episode pisses you off, then good. It means your dickhead-detector is calibrated properly. (Trey and Matt aren't the dickheads btw)
Now, if you were in South Park, who would you blame for this? The answer is Trump.
Trump has normalised people saying "faggot" and "retard" because that's his legacy. Not helping anyone, only himself, by appealing to the anti-woke dickheads, and convincing his base this matters more than improving the lives of the people he was sworn to help.
Trey and Matt don't just fire off slurs like that for kicks. They're trying to shock you into thinking about how the pieces fit.
I agree. And in addition to people thinking about it, I think it’s important to talk about why it’s a problem. Mostly, I wanted to fill some of the void I see in discussing this facet of the episode.
I could be wrong, but weren't most of the slurs coming from Cartman?
Nope. It was a lot from the group of townsfolk that decided to resist, especially Kenny’s dad. Even the new reporters were doing it
I mean at least they're forcing folks to see the kind of hate that the ignorant want to be able to say, without being judged, for being the bigots they absolutely are. The folks who are okay with the country being destroyed are okay with just absolutely dehumanizing and it's ugly to see, don't let them hide.
Not advocating to stop or censor it. More bringing attention to this side of the conversation
The moment broadcasters realize there is a financial incentive to make fun of Trump
I mean, that's the billion dollar question.
Will Paramount call this a win-win or will they scuttle their billion dollar acquisition to save the Skydance merger?
I pirated it, add one more to the count
Same. The actual view count is definitely much higher.
Say there internet friend, as someone who torrented from the Pirate Bay back in the day where are people torrenting these days?
Stremio w/plugins is what you want these days (start with Torrentio and Real-Debrid; plugins are installed from within the Stremio app).
Direct streams to your TV/phone/PC, no need to transfer files or mess with torrent clients (which means you don't need a VPN). Just press Play and enjoy.
It is also home theater friendly if you're into that. Supports all the major video and audio formats, including HDR and Dolby Atmos.
Edit: I'm confused by the downvote. To whoever did that: don't just hit and run; tell me why you downvoted. Do you know of a better, more convenient alternative to Stremio? I'd love to hear about it.
Same or similar as back in the day. Some use private servers and some have automated stuff to grab new stuff to automatically, populate their self hosted streaming server with it to have their own curated netflix with any shows and movies from any source they desire and none of the filler.
Still #1 torrent popularity for 6 days going now.
can't be, Trump said nobody watches South Park anymore
He knows what's popular with the people, I'm sure he was right, this is just libtard wokeist marxist communist abortionist feminist maoist stalinist anti-white propaganda.
Pretty good numbers for an irrelevant, fourth-rate show
5.4M more than the latest Simpsons, to put irrelevant fourth-rate shows in perspective.
Hahahaha
That's what really struck me as odd about Trump's statement. He said that about one of the only adult cartoons that's not irrelevant. I doubt many people would argue against that claim were it regarding The Simpsons or Family Guy, but South Park???
I can't believe the white house wasted valuable government time to respond to this episode.
valuable government time
There is nothing of value to America being done in the White House
Every moment the current administration wastes is immensely valuable to the American people. It’s when they are working that it’s bad for us
I hate the body shaming that infused this episode and it reminded me why i hate south park.
the body shaming is because trump in fact body shames people on the basis. Don't dish it out if you can't take it out. etc
"I didnt sexually assault that woman! shes too ugly (she’s not my type)"--trump
the bad thing is paramount is now merged with skydance, the owner is a trumper, its helping a pro-trumper more than humiliating him.
The media companies have been run by right wing shit brains since forever. In the past, they generally let the writers do whatever they want as long as the money keeps flowing.
That may be changing. Not clear yet.
Not sure that's entirely true... It's definitely something to be cognizant of, but empowering your base and shitting on Nazis is well worth the price of admission, here.
Plus, a LOT more people saw it than 6 million. I'm betting that number is going to be in the billions, especially so since Trump is shitting his pants even more over it, a la Streisand Effect.
Trump is a serial child rapist and all over the Epstein files.
