IDK man. AfD are the ones raging against "political correctness" here. Dude decided to not be politically correct and label the Nazis Nazis.
I don't know what the fuss is about. It'd be a different matter if the person who had drawn the swastika had voted for the AFD candidate. However, clearly this was done in a disparaging manner
The Swastika is a forbidden symbol in Germany. That’s why he gets grilled. If he would have written “Those are Nazis” he probably would have gotten away.
Why did he admit to it? It doesn't seem like they would've figured it out if he hadn't since it was a secret vote.
I am pretty sure he stepped down to protect his parliamentary group. If he hadn't taken one for the team the AfD would've scandalised this topic even more and may have damaged the SPD and / or the Green party.
