There are many many companies doing this. But the smart brands will use their name as a sort of stamp of 'this is actually a decent product" because the market is absolutely chock full of e-waste.

yeah it's true, but anker has been having a lot of recalls lately. And when the product costs 1/5 the price on aliexpress/baba then it might be worth it for some things.

Sometimes the ones that are a fifth the price on AliExpress are the ones that failed QA testing for the whitelabeller, or they're the same board with lower-rated components attached, so they're not necessarily identical.
