Gonna be honest, I do be kinda jealous seeing posts of other people doing stuff like having sleepovers and painting nails with other girls. Problem is, that I have exactly 1 female friend (who is also an early transfem) and we dont live close enough to do stuff somewhat regularly. Also since my social skills are quite ass I am also not really capable of obtaining new friends with which I could do such stuff.

I also used to have only one friend back in Uganda though she died of mob justice. I thought I couldn’t open up to any other person in my life but things changed way to far when I join the refugee life. I found beautiful and kind strangers that became family. I had to do was to give myself a chance for them to love me. I have learned a lot from them and I think you need to give yourself chance and accept new people because most of them we use to chat in a refugee group before meeting haha

If you are able to visit queer social events, maybe start there to at least find comfort in likeminded people, helped my unsocial ass quite well.

If thats not an option, maybe a discord hangout together might be an alternave. With a webcam it almost turns into a physical social meeting.

My Main problem isn't that I can't meet new people, but being able to cross the bridge from "I know this person because we attend the same social circles" to "Hey, wanna do stuff together"

Then the social garhering is probably the better option, because the rules of such places are permissable to just asking people to do stuff. If you are already at the bowling alley, asking someone to play a game with you is part of why you are there in the first place.

Now you just need to find a more suitable social thing then bowling.

I know you may worry a lot, but it can happen a lot faster than you think :3. Just like hang out with queer/feminist people and boom

i feel ya. i am unfortunately alone in my area. not literally, i've seen other trans people and even had a friendship with a local transwoman, but she abruptly cut communication with me so it's back on my own. i don't have much to say other than you aren't alone, at least. i'm sorry you're feeling the pain of solitude.

I found most my friends in activist circles, like Fridays for Future and my University, but it definitely took some time to unlearn male socialization and stop looking like a guy, which dramatically helped

trans meet ups are a way to meet cute people. When I lived in a rural area I would drive about an hour once a month to meet some at a meet up.

Now I live in a bigger city and there is a meetup about once a week.
