It’s honestly very unlikely that professor x wouldn’t just use cerebro to find a healer. They have teleporters, healing is far more possible of a power.
But then he'd have to lose that sweet-ass chair, and then what kind of life would that be?

in FOSP, he was able to walk again due to a gene therapy by beast. but it negated his powers as long as he was on the therapy.
I swear I remember an episode of X-Men where he used his powers to walk
