Is America trying to replicate the Arab spring? If so, the next steps can get very messy. Just look what happened in Syria.

American weapons were used against some of those protestors, too. And in Palestine.

We're market leaders on violence.

That's a very disturbing symmetry...

Yes, they are.

More like Israel. They'll just keep shooting.

Why would they ever stop stomping faces once you begun? It's so much fun!

More like Western Autumn. It's similar but goes the opposite way.

This article is full of weak apologetic language.

Officers shot non-lethal rounds.

Reporter was hit

How about officers shot at reporters

Reporters were shot by officers

non-lethal

"Less lethal." These things can kill you.

No one who's seen riot pigs in action could be fooled into believing that these incidents are accidental. The bastards absolutely did it on purpose to amuse themselves, they literally laugh while wounding civilians, press or not.

The title is fucked. None of those assholes are enforcing any laws.

[-] KMAMURI@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

The Israeli way.

Fascist militarized police state well underway.

Police are not supposed to have military equipment.

Police are not supposed to shoot reporters.

Start arming yourselves.
