Best paired with salsa!

Salsa is the name for Latin American dances that are danced to salsa music. Salsa is one of the most popular types of Latin dance that is practiced worldwide, and is typically danced with a partner,

best served in a bowl

Bowls are the part of a pipe or bong that holds cannabis flower. In bongs, they are typically removable and these are also called a “slide,” because they slide out in order to clear the chamber and inhale smoke. “Packing a bowl” refers to filling a bowl with flower in order to have a smoke session.

Salsa is the Spanish word for sauce. Did the AI translate it to English for the "Add Tomato Sauce" option?

[-] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Very plausible.

It's like every company in the world just hired the world's most incompetent intern, won't fire them after multiple mistakes, and we're all supposed to put up with it.

Can't wait for someone to rely on AI to update food allergen info on a product! 🙄

Yeah, minimum wage = minimum results.

They'll be hurting for sure. They'll get a fine that's a fraction of the profit they made and maybe a public denunciation from a politician who's up for reelection.

Do you really expect a restaurant to manually write a 1-sentence description for every single thing on their menu? How would that even work?

[-] bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 month ago

Jfc this pisses me off. The laziness is insane.

[-] LanguageIsCool@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

I can already taste their generic mediocre garbage food

That's doordash. I've come across a few of their descriptions that directly contradict the item being sold and I've been waiting to see if anyone will hold them accountable.

Examples are like "comes with cheese dip" on fries, but- no cheese dip offered at the restaurant, or "12 mozzarella sticks for sharing" and the product is "4 sticks"

It's not my original image, but it's been circling on IG and elsewhere. I'm pretty sure it's from an ordering app (e.g. door dash, GrubHub, or similar) rather than a restaurant.

Is it just me or did company names really get dumber and dumber?

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago

Plot twist: it's taken over production, too:

I’ve started seeing a lot of restaurants with blatant AI slop pictures of food on their menus or signs.

[-] paraphrand@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

lol, DoorDash is a hellscape.

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Yeah, and UberEats, too. All gig services, really.

tech bro talking to semi-literate restaurateur: nah bro we'll automatically create a page for all entrees and sides and have it automatically describe it based on the picture and title. it'll be super easy! the subscription to keep using it will be 90/month, but it makes it trivial to change the menu!

How do you expect me to eat them if you don't tell me the TDP?

Despite the somewhat disturbing description of chips here... I am so not willing to destroy that mesmerizing crunch and texture of chips with 1$ ejaculate of tomatos. ☝️

[-] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago

It's stylistically meant to be that way. They may have gone too far in a few places though.

[-] FelixCress@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Chips may be be electronic components. There are crisps on this picture though.
