I love to go out, but only when I have somewhere to be.
I would probably never leave my home if I had a choice 😅 I am known for being a hermit.
The more time I spent away from home, the more I long for those weekends on the couch with my books and plants. But a few of those weekends in a row and I'm planning my next trip.
Yeah, I like the feeling when you have nothing planned and you get to spend the weekend at home. But it only feels extra special if you did not get to do it for awhile. I guess I like to have options and not totally bunker only at home only.
I'm very much a home bird and always have been. It means a lot to me, and I put a lot of time and money into making it nice. To me my home is my safe space, and I always used to dream of having one. I don't like being away from it.
Me and my wife both spent our formative years moving around a lot, and we've both lived in different countries too.
Home isn't a meaningful concept for us outside of where each other are at this particular moment.
I really like your final sentence I'm so glad you found each other
I love being at home, it's where all my Stuff is and I can get it just the way I like it. The only good part about being Out is getting back home again
Very much a home bird. Even when I was more social and had a lot of friends, I hated being picked up by someone and then left at their mercy for whenever home time is. I'd prefer to make my own way so that I could silently exit and go home whenever I felt like it. And looking back, if it wasn't for alcohol being involved in the average social event back then, I probably wouldn't have been half as social either. But I very much cherish my own space and my own world.
The exception to this is certain people. Every now and then you meet another someone who doesn't drain your social battery, who you can enjoy comfortable silences with and where you just seem to 'get' each other without needing to put it into so many words. Those people can make home feel like anywhere, no intoxication required. It's been a long time since I've left my home to meet someone like that though lol.
You make a great point about certain people and how they make home feel like anywhere. They're worth an infinite amount
If I could stay at home 100% of the time, I would. More accurately perhaps, if I could spend 100% of my time alone that would be great, inside or outside.
My home is my castle. It has all the comfortable armchairs, my books, my video games… everything is under my control and that’s how I like it.
Depends: on a given night I’m not going anywhere. It’s too much with a toddler. We come home from work/daycare and do dinner, bath, bed. The grown-ups sit on the couch mindlessly watching tv before dragging ourselves upstairs to sleep at 9. During the weekend I usually have at least one activity per day. And I like trips and vacations.
