It's not "his brand" that the problem. It's the republicans inability to have thier own platform that is the problem.
"OTHER GUYS BAD VOTE ME" Is not a political platform.

Their platform is simple: be against the Democrats platform.
its really more of an anti-platform
Yep, similar to my thought. If you think "brand" is the problem here, not a demonstrated lack of morality with regard to the rule of law and the rights of your fellow citizens, you are just as bad as Trump.
For real. What happened to a normal conservative platform without any nutty conspiracies, racism, or climate denial tacked on?
Because the normal conservative platform, less regulation and lower taxes on corporations, leads to bad climate and systemic racism being unaddressed. It's not a thing people want.
Reagan. That campaign and presidency brainwashed an entire generation into believing greed is good, and that asshole generation is still running the country right now.
It wasn't selling enough hotcakes, so they switched to rage bait
It's called the Democratic Platform these days.
You can't have a conservative platform without any of those. They will eventually lead to that. That's why I don't vote for moderates or conservatives unless I do not have a choice.
...in the modern day, yes. There used to be real conservatives, but as their economic policies shifted left (necessarily) their social policies shifted right.
It's not just Trump. It's Roe v. Wade, it's Black Lives Matter, it's critical race theory and transgender panic and banning books and trying to build a Christofascist state and denying climate change and supporting murderous cops and demonizing science and acting as Russian propaganda puppets and helping covid spread and kill people and ....
The only thing Trump did was give conservative monsters permission to openly be monsters.
I personally made a point to vote in any and all elections no matter how "trivial". If you haven't been adamantly opposed to Trump his entire presidency, I'm voting for the Democrat on the ballot.
I say this as a former Republican (pre-2012 really...I grew up, got smarter, more experience, etc and started becoming aware of how worthless, hypocritical, unethical and sad the Republicans had become). I voted Dem on a presidential ballot for the first time in 2016. I refuse to vote Republican ever again until they clean house. They are an embarrassment.
No shit.
Why do you think Dems aren't saying anything?
I mean... No no the Trump brand is powerful! Keep at it! Drench your entire platform on Trump!
I know. Like Biden should not be running again, but let Trump win the nomination or run 3rd party... that improves the odds a Democrat wins. Trump suddenly drops out? Democrats have a bigger problem then.
@ReluctantMuskrat Let's sit back and watch the @GOP run on their pro national banning of abortion platform and see how that works in the end. #politics #abortionrights #NARAL #democraticparty #democrats @joebiden
Everything that gets slapped with the Trump brand fails shortly after. Trump university, Trump Steaks, Trump casinos, etc, etc. its because he has no integrity and you have to be blind not to see it.
Trump presidency..
they felt like they had to constantly answer for being a Trump Republican
Being a Trumpist / MAGA head is a warning sign that tells me: I don't want this person to be in a position of authority and responsibility. In every place where one needs to judge on a persons character, this is an easy and obvious criteria for lack of moral and brains.
Even just being conservatives should raise eyebrows in a sane world. You can't have conservative platform without racism, sexism, and so on, and attempts always lead down to that road.
That actually depends what is rated "conservative". In my country, the US Democrats would be considered conservative, and the Republicans would be close to surveillance by the local alphabet soup for extremism.
The moderate wing of the Democratic Party do have some degree of responsibility when it comes to shifting the Overton window to the far-right, so yes, they aren't to be free from criticism. And the Republican Party being so much worse. And Republicans are conservatives.
And Republicans are conservatives.
In comparison to other conservative parties in the world, the Republicans are so far out right, they would rated "right wing extremist" in about any European country. The Republicans don't conserve, they want to control.
🤯 omg ground breaking stuff
"I've had school board members, Republican school board members, that have lost their seat because they felt like they had to constantly answer for being a Trump Republican," Sununu said.
This is the opposite of what happens in Florida.
Still thinks that lying to the press, congress and judges with impunity while abusing your power is a "brand" rather than a crime, though..
Sadly correct. It isn't their shitty policies as the majority Vote based on some tribal popularity contest.
Corporate media is drooling over this guy. Hell even npr was kissing his ass. He's got a better facade but still pretty full of shit.
Kind of unclear. Are you talking about Sununu or Trump?
Trump is just icing on the failure cake. First and foremost, Republican policies are to blame for the losses.
