Nine homes, five tents and five animal pens were demolished, said Mohammed Rabia, head of the village council in the area.

COGAT, the Israeli military body responsible for administrative affairs in the occupied West Bank, said it demolished the buildings because they were built illegally in an area designated as a closed firing zone.

Palestinians have long said that securing Israeli permission to build in the West Bank is nearly impossible.

When demolishing buildings to make Lebensraum, trust Hyundai.

[-] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 39 points 23 hours ago

This genocide sponsored by Hyundai.

[-] FelixCress@lemmy.world 19 points 21 hours ago

Fucking war criminals.

[-] land@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 23 hours ago

The virus 🦠 Zionism MUST be eliminated.

[-] resipsaloquitur@lemm.ee 4 points 19 hours ago

Did they free the hostages yet?

[-] tocopherol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 16 hours ago

Which are you referring to? There are still thousands of Palestinian people in Israeli detention, many indefinitely with no charges, including hundreds of children.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 6 points 22 hours ago

And they let trump win for this.

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 22 points 21 hours ago

Another way to look at it is that Kamala would rather lose than stop supporting this.

[-] Doorbook@lemmy.world 11 points 21 hours ago

these comment and bringing her up in every other post is an attempt to divert conversation from the main issue.

  1. this is a genocide.
  2. this is in the west bank.
[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago

It’s an attempt to keep idiots from allowing fascism to take over again.

[-] Keeponstalin@lemmy.world 11 points 17 hours ago

Yeah, it would've been great if the Democratic Party did fight against fascism taking over instead of prioritizing material support for the genocide.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

They did and enough people stayed home that they lost. Again.

Is it clear that the genocide-arguments-against-Biden/Harris were completely in line with GRU propaganda efforts?

[-] Keeponstalin@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

Biden gave zero genuine pressure to end the genocide. Instead of implementing a weapons embargo, he sent tens of billions worth of weapons used to prolong the genocide.

One Year of Empty Rhetoric From the White House on Israel’s Wars

From the MEMO article:

The Biden administration allowed Israel unprecedented leeway to carry out its military offensive, despite the enormous death and devastation it inflicted on Gaza. Former Israeli ambassador, Michael Herzog, made a startling admission about Biden’s support: “God did the State of Israel a favour that Biden was the president during this period. We fought [in Gaza] for over a year and the administration never came to us and said, ‘ceasefire now.’ It never did. And that’s not to be taken for granted.” His remarks encapsulated a broader sentiment that the White House gave Benjamin Netanyahu all the political space he needed to execute the military offensive, which has claimed the lives of more than 52,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children.

Here Are 34 Polls That Show A Ceasefire & Weapons Embargo Help Kamala Win

Kamala Would Have Won With A Weapons Embargo

The blame is entirely on the campaign for chosing to ignore and even go against those voters instead of make concessions to gain as much votes as possible. They chose to prioritize continuing the genocide over winning against Trump.

[-] InvertedParallax@lemm.ee 3 points 9 hours ago

You guys are literally better for the GOP than trump voters .

You didn't just aid one genocide abroad, you enabled several at home too.

[-] Keeponstalin@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

I'm not the Democratic Party, which did aid genocide abroad unconditionally, and enabled Trump's expansion of fascism at home by ramping up the arrests of, the criminalization of pro-palestinian protesters, and capitulating to the right wing framing on immigration as a national security threat.

Instead of supporting a weapons embargo, which had the vast support of the voter base, was required by international and domestic law, and was the moraly correct thing to do, the adminstration instead fractured their own base by continuing material support for Israel by the measure of tens of billions worth of weapons for genocide. Pivoting to the weapons embargo would have significantly improved their chances of winning against Trump. While one of the most critical, there were many other policies that the campaign should have taken to further increase their support, many economic policies that would even fracture the Republican base of support, also critically improving their chances against Trump.

She didn’t support this. That’s not the same thing as magically stopping it, though. Trump does support this.

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 12 points 20 hours ago

Jesus Christ man. Very few people have any real power to make a difference in this genocide, and she was one of them.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

That is incorrect.

Unless your definition of "real power" is "no power". Which, would be odd.

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 4 points 5 hours ago

Not having power, and refusing to use it are two different things.

[-] prole 4 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

Do you not know what the Vice President does? It's a ceremonial position. Harris couldn't do shit unless people actually voted for her.

She had no power to do anything, and people like you made sure she never would.

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 11 points 14 hours ago

Homie, she was campaigning for president. That is a position where people tend to make their positions loud and clear. Not only is the electorate listening, but absolutely other world leaders are paying attention.

[-] prole 2 points 6 hours ago

I'm not your fucking homie

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 5 points 5 hours ago

Whatever, homie.

[-] HellsBelle@sh.itjust.works 14 points 16 hours ago

She ran for President and could have announced her withdrawl of support for Israel during the election. She chose not to and that's on her.

[-] Mrkawfee@lemmy.world 6 points 23 hours ago

God forgive us for this evil.

[-] ElcaineVolta@kbin.melroy.org 12 points 21 hours ago

if there ever even was a god, they pretty obviously don't care about any of this. there's most likely no heaven and no hell either, which is why we need to fight for justice here and now.
