Give them all guns and bullets instead.

[-] AlecSadler@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago

I'll gladly donate to this cause as long as they understand who hurt them

Imagine pissing off a group of people so large that they exist in every major city and who have nothing to lose and nothing to fear. Plus some are crazy, hungry and desperate. Would you walk around their camp?

[-] modeler@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Yeah, but they don't/can't vote while homeless, so it's a win for him.

They "technically" can, but the system is designed so no ID, no permanent address, no voting, they will find a way to make it nearly impossible and most homeless people don't have the means to find the poll stations etc and navigate the system that was designed to defeat them.

[-] RedditIsDeddit@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I mean. At least in my city there's signs that get posted all over the neighborhoods for polling places.. I mean.. it would be hard to ignore it..

But I do get your point.

[-] altphoto@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago

Sure. Vote.... That's the problem, the voting thing. Not the fact that there are crazy homeless camping in every city who know exactly who to blame for their despair.

[-] modeler@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was trying to answer the question about why Trump might do this - what's in it for this regime.

I mean, the people who will be turfed out onto the streets overwhelmingly vote democrat. By making them homeless, he's depriving them of their vote. Disenfranchisement is part of his plan.

And a further thought: making more people homeless and desperate creates chaos and makes his call for stronger law enforcement will resonate with more people.

His cruelty knows no bounds. And his fascist regime will do anything to rig the vote to retain power.

[-] altphoto@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago

Uhh, that's an evil angle I hadn't thought about. One would think that an American would not go there on purpose. Greed yes, but not planned on purpose. If that's really the case, wow! Just wow.

[-] modeler@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

The republicans have been rigging the vote for years - how many states have a dem governor but have a republican house? Every one of those is gerrymandered. Who's going over the voting rolls just before each election and disqualifying thousands under 'suspicion' that they're dead or moved away? Who is simultaneously requiring photo id but simultaneously shutting dmv offices in areas that are predominantly black? There's layers and layers of this.

Note: the dems have gerrymandered areas themselves. Gerrymandering is a problem of the first-past-the-post voting system. However it's IMHO not as bad or blatant as the republican recent attempts - some were thrown out as being obviously racist.

Trump hates veterans, pretty sure he always has.

But even if they weren't veterans... they're still people. That should be reason enough to take care of them when they can't take care of themselves.

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago

he said he hates many times.

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 5 points 1 week ago

"suckers nad losers, whats in it for them"-TRUMP.

[-] RedditIsDeddit@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Were not the Republicans complaining about the number of homeless for YEARS at this point? There is no fucking plan.

[-] dwemthy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Their complaint is that homeless are allowed to exist and may even have services available. Live humans living on the street are a reminder that their taxes go to support them and that fills them with rage

[-] RedditIsDeddit@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Then why create MORE of them? I know WHY they don't like it.

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 4 points 1 week ago

besides POC, trump hates POOR people almost as much he dislike black people.

[-] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 1 week ago

I hope “Don't mess with veterans!” liberals wake up.

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

libs aren't the ones doing this bullshit. in fact, libs built the VA and GI bill and a whole lot of other service benefits - fdr etc.

in my entire life, it's always been conservatives trying to dump vets on the streets. Reagan did it BIG TIME by closing thousands of hospitals - but bush and bush both cut vet benefits as well. Trump can't even spell veteran, but keeps trying to defund the VA.

it's fucking disgusting that the no service chickenhawk shitbags get away with it, and have the nerve to tell liberals they aren't there for the soldiers.

[-] kevin2107@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

It sounds like soldiers and vets just voted for their own rights to disappear, how did libs make this happen? We aren't in power.

[-] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 1 week ago

You misread my comment. I'm saying liberals need to uphold their second amendment before more veterans are killed.

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

so you're suggesting the solution to shitty government is murdering politicians?

it's cute. not really practical until you get to the french revolution scale, but I wish people had more familiarity with it beyond the guillotine and let them eat cake because that shit was fucking nuts. reign of terror nuts. wanna be a new robespierre? that'll work out well.

[-] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Politicians do it all the time. Who gave them the right to genocide again?

If you think it's hopeless for an armed resistance, January 6th would have never occurred. Now wake up your siblings, cousins, neighbors and allies. It's time to live up to your declaration.

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

grumblemumblesaywhat?

please expand on this, it's... I don't want to assume intent

[-] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 1 week ago

How do you want me to interpret:

not really practical until you get to the french revolution scale, but I wish people had more familiarity with it beyond the guillotine and let them eat cake because that shit was fucking nuts. reign of terror nuts. wanna be a new robespierre? that’ll work out well.

Doompost, or?

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

how many politicians do you think you'll need to murder to affect the change you want to see?

[-] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 1 week ago

How many that haven't answered for their murders. Do politicians really need a murder license?

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

"'¯ \ (ツ)/¯"

historically probably most of them. good luck, I hope it doesn't come to violence myself. I've seen warzones. I've seen places civil wars destroyed. The smell. And know how much more difficult it is to rebuild instead of not destroying the infrastructure in the first place. I don't take any of this lightly. And I wouldn't advocate this violence on social media like lemmy even if I did.

Oh, so you just ignore it when cops bomb homes.

We are both extremely aware of the consequences civil wars, I've lived through plenty. The question now is, are you willing to be complicit with your fascist death encampments, still genociding Yemen, or are you going to do anything else than continue to reply to me on an anarchist network?

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

oh, I see, you're deranged. have a good one,

Enjoy your eventual death at Alcatraz then.✌️

[-] teawrecks@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago
