Don’t worry guys! He only wants to deport the worst criminals! You know, like the enemies of the people. Now, who was it that he call the enemy of the people, again…?

[-] gjoel@programming.dev 79 points 1 week ago

Rapists, gang members, democrats, red haired people, wokists... You know. The enemy!

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 26 points 1 week ago

Then finally the non-loyalists

I keep my wok hidden away in a secret room in the attic where they’ll never find it and make stir fry in a good old fashioned American manufactured skillet like our good lord and orange savior intended. You’ll never brand me a wokist

I did not have "The Nazi's will outsource their gulags to El Salvador" on my fascism 2025 bingo card... I need to get more creative, or possibly criminally insane.

[-] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 16 points 1 week ago

Its only until our own black site at Guantanamo has completed their new 30,000 prisoner facility. Then we can torture and execute dissidents ourselves, outside if the view of the media and courts.

This generation of leadership outsources and offshores things like it's a bodily function.

It's darkly hilarious that the red states won't even get the tiny local economic boost provided by having the concentration camps in their areas.

So yeah if that's the case then we need to seriously explore ways to remove him from office

[-] futatorius@lemm.ee 16 points 1 week ago

That time came a long time ago.

[-] makyo@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

Absolutely and it's just getting more and more urgent

What did the founders say?

Something something second admendment against tyranny?

Well, I guess somebody needs to do their patriotic duty to defend the Constitution.

Of course he does.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

[-] BrokenGlepnir@lemmy.world 53 points 1 week ago

First they came for the socialists ... But the US was coming for the socialists at the time, so that part is left out at the Holocaust museum memorial.

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 68 points 1 week ago

Actually first they came for LGBTQ+ people and scientists studying controversial subject matter, but the guy who wrote the poem was a conservative Catholic priest, so he didn't mind.

[-] dethedrus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 1 week ago

Worse than that, he was part of a group that carved out special exemptions for their churches with Hitler. And was a raging anti-semite until his death bed iirc.

So a traditional conservative who only saw evil when it affected him. And only insofar as HOW it affected him.

[-] Infynis@midwest.social 16 points 1 week ago

That makes it a better poem in retrospect, imo. It demonstrates its own moral

Actually, first they came for physically and mentally handicapped. The clergy spoke up because they were the first to notice that the families in their church with vulnerable individuals were all receiving letters that their family member had died while getting government-mandated "treatment" in a government hospital.

Hitler was "shocked, " and pledged to end the program. Instead, it went underground, and evolved into the Holocaust.

[-] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 9 points 1 week ago

That's why I'm speaking out for these political prisoners in El Salvador. If they are criminals, then kick them out, but there has to be due process. This is AMERICA, everybody gets their day in court.

He already did and a judge ruled that he had to be brought back

[-] RubberElectrons@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

And hasn't been, last I checked. The excuse provided will infuriate you even more.

[-] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 88 points 1 week ago

Can't wait to find out if I've been vocal enough to be selected as a concentration camp candidate!

[-] capt_wolf@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

At least we'll all have company...

I got permabanned from Reddit in the February Bloodbath, after 12 years and over 900K karma. They have obviously reviewed my post history, and are aware of my radical anti-MAGA opinions. I'm on their radar, and sooner or later they'll come knocking.

So when is the rest of the world putting sanctions on El Salvador?

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 13 points 1 week ago

Wouldn't that just make them more reliant on the US for trade and funding?

[-] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

Not a good position to be in lately. You seen the markets and value of the dollar?

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Things aren't that far gone, yet.

Wake me up when Mexico/Canada join BRICS or the EU federalizes or something.

[-] Freshparsnip@lemm.ee 78 points 1 week ago

Does anyone still think America isn't a dictatorship?

TBH its not very obvious. Immigration officials around the world probably still view the US as a democracy. If an American were to apply for political asylum in, say, the EU, for example, it would likely get rejected.

We need something very concrete, like if 2026 elections get cancelled or martial law declared, then they would actually take asylum applications seriously.

[-] insaneinthemembrane@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

Maybe for trans people they would get asylum, since many countries have issued travel warnings to trans people from outside the US about traveling to the US.

They aren't going to declare or cancel anything. They'll just do stuff and delay indefinitely.

[-] thedruid@lemmy.world 75 points 1 week ago

2nd amendment doesn't just apply for Nazis.

[-] maniclucky@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

Even if it did, not currently an obstacle.

Can we not criticize fascism by jumping to unreconstructed misogyny please

[-] seejur@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago

Tbh is pretty accurate. My only wish is we had some good equivalent term for males, because the Republican party is chock-full of male goldigging whores

aw man....everyday i go like: sure them muricans cant come up and even do stupider shit today. yesterday was so stupid...seriously no chance for stupider shit.

but then...dang...again they did it. not only the orange guy...most of them. schumer, fetterman, cruz...they all have tapped into the only infinite resource. may idiocracy prevail, right?

[-] Tryenjer@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Look on the bright side, now they can finally get rid of the Orange felon and Muskrat by deporting them to El Salvador! There is no greater threat to US security than them. Right?

[-] nuko147@lemm.ee 27 points 1 week ago

It is really simple. You put a swastika on your flag, blow an important empty building and you say the country is in an emergency, transfering all powers to White House.

I wish it were that obvious, at least then you could get political asylum in another country. Right now I doubt asylum applications would be taken seriously.

[-] Wilco@lemm.ee 21 points 1 week ago

Nah. He just got shutdown 9/9 by the Supreme court. It's amazing that the Trump nutsucker C Thomas voted against his cult leader Trump ... but there it is. Everyone gets due process.

[-] MediocreBee@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

You gotta source? Any hope I always question in these times....
