This guy really shouldn't be reproducing

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 5 points 6 days ago

He shouldn't be reproducing and much like my sperm donor should be nowhere near "his" descendants.

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 4 points 6 days ago

He has to give money for woman to accept his IVF, I bet

[-] martin4598@lemm.ee 7 points 6 days ago

Invoking 'Soros' is just plain old antisemitism. The real one, the far right wing one.

[-] TheTimeKnife@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

He is just going through a nazi checklist at this point.

[-] futatorius@lemm.ee 2 points 6 days ago

Flagrany hypocrisy is a flex.

[-] someguy3@lemmy.world 130 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

They invent a world of bogeymen so that they can do exactly what they make-believe the other side is doing. "They make-believe do it, so it's just fair if I do it."

[-] Eldritch@lemmy.world 65 points 1 week ago

Yep. This isn't lack of self awareness or hypocrisy. It's manufacture of consent for them to do what they want.

[-] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 5 points 1 week ago

Quite literally it. We even coined the scientific name for it already!

Digressive Victimhood.

[-] umbrella@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 week ago

i find that its almost always projection with these people

[-] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago
[-] umbrella@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

they will seldomly accuse the left of wanting things like socialism or healthcare or of wanting to end tesla

[-] Nay@feddit.nl 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

"Gotta do it to them ~~to stop them from doing it~~ before they can do it to us!"

[-] someguy3@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

"Make believe doing to us."

[-] Nay@feddit.nl 1 points 1 week ago

Exactly. (Fixed my comment)

[-] jmcs@discuss.tchncs.de 39 points 1 week ago

The thing is that when he says Soros he doesn't mean Soros, he means something that would make him sound even more like a Nazi.

[-] gedaliyah@lemmy.world 25 points 1 week ago

People are deluded or pretending that he didn't bring up Soros for this very specific reason.

[-] MyOpinion@lemm.ee 25 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Can't a Nazi bribe in peace people! The jews/Soros are standing in his way.

[-] nialv7@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

This is giving so much 1984 vibes...

War is Peace

Freedom is Slavery

Ignorance is Strength

[-] projectsquared@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

He’s completely aware. He just knows that the GOP doesn’t give a shit about rules/norms/morals when they feel it benefits “their side”. The hypocrisy is intentional.

[-] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 12 points 1 week ago

It's an embrace of the invisible.

They use religion to "prove" they're right.

They use A.I. to "prove" they're smart.

They use Bitcoin to "prove" they're rich.

A consensus of tomfoolery.

[-] kiwii4k@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

yeah, this was truly insane

and the reality is that a lot will fall for it, or will skew their belief system just enough to be somehow okay with this

i can't imagine any soros-hating conspiracy theorist to be cool with any of this shit our oligarch slave masters are peddling. he is literally what you should be afraid of.

[-] verdantbanana@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

so business as usual for the US since this how all elections work and have been working and will always works until we rise up

what makes what Musk is doing any different

the two party sham has always been bought out and were never the ruling parties in the US just the puppets

[-] bassomitron@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago

No other candidate in recent US history that I can recall has been offering million dollar lotteries for voting. He's barely skirting the law, since he isn't paying people to actually vote. However, the tactic and intent is blatantly transparent.

[-] verdantbanana@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Democrats got paid over a billion just to lose but hey they are better at disguising their intent so must be a good party

[-] ProIsh@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

Your brain is broken.

The irony of this post pointing out what the right is doing using a boogeyman and a poster coming in here to back em up.

Zero self awareness all the way down.

Being slow moving to get shit done and actively destroying democracy is two different things. Don't get it twisted.

[-] verdantbanana@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

yes two different things that are both required to ensure fascism grows and how Germany did it a century ago

[-] PointyReality@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Your both sides argument is evidence that you lack the critical thinking to see that what the current administration is doing is unprecedented. If you have evidence where left leaning parties have done the same on this scale then please show me the evidence.

Otherwise my suggestion for you is to take a look at where you are getting your source of information and ask yourself “Is this an opinion piece? is it backed by evidence?, is the evidence by a reputable source and stands the scrutiny of peers?, are the arguments against the evidence also supported by its own evidence and therefore logical conclusions can be drawn?.” Do these things and you will be better in this huge ecosystem of misinformation that we call today’s internet.

Edit: I will add one more thing, it’s okay to be wrong. So many on the right seem to wind themselves up into a pretzel just to make the facts somehow fit their twisted reality. All you need to do is accept you were wrong accept that fact, thank the person for educating you and move on.

[-] baronvonj@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

I will add one more thing, it’s okay to be wrong

The people who wrap up their world view under the cloak of religion can't admit they were wrong because that would have to mean their faith was wrong.

[-] PointyReality@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Not all of them. Islam has as one of its core tenets critical thinking. I tend to find the extremists of all religions to fail to reflect and admit wrong. I would agree the whole blind faith that alot of religions wrap their belief system with creates an environment that does not nurture critical thinking.

So I would argue that its not every religion nor everyone who believes in one of the religions.

I am an atheist btw I just have been interested in how religion or religions impacted critical thinking and have talked/ researched a few things.

[-] frazw@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

In MAGAland everyone except George Soros agrees with trump and musk and the only possible reason that people don't, is bribery

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 1 points 6 days ago

They waffled between gates and Soros for a while too

[-] UncleGrandPa@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

It's all a matter of guilt, ...as they see it

If you're a member of the trump Reich you are guilty of nothing and if you are any kind of supporter of Democracy

You are guilty of everything

Its times like this I wish the US education system wasn't such a disaster.

Getting rid of the department of education should help!

John Queally needs to get familiarized with the scientific act of digressive victimhood already.
