Hope it's paid so I don't need to play a Freemium game and only nice to have features are locked behind something like a DLC.

Can’t see that happening. The Google maps fees will be way too much, even though they probably have a custom arrangement

I remember looking ay the fees a few years ago when developing an application thing

..it's absurdly expensive. They demand ridiculous amounts of money for even basic things like search suggestions. I don't get how any service using Google maps can afford doing so
