Or maybe I haven't just seen this image yet? I've only gotten images where she seems to be wearing a grey jacket.

This is the first time I've heard of this.

Anyone know why this message doesn't lose the "unread" tag. I'm using Boost

[-] Armand1@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

Boost has not had an update since mid 2024. I think it's abandonware.

I managed to clear it by going to the tab left of messages tab and clicking clear all.

[-] Speculater@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Switched to Voyager very recently and it's pretty sleek so far. Easy to navigate and sort.

[-] PrimeErective@startrek.website 10 points 1 day ago

There's one feature Boost has that I really miss when I try to switch, which is that it will save your position in the comments of a post. So like if you scroll down halfway and then leave the comments and come back, you are still in the same spot. Every other client I've tried doesn't have that feature and it's kinda a deal breaker for me

Must be a Boost problem. File a bug report.

[-] Souroak@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I'm on boost too. Hit the double checkmark icon, but while you're in the replies tab. Def some kind of bug.

Wait I'm now realizing, is that a bong?

[-] Benjaben@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

Yeah Nicole appears to be enjoying yonder broccoli

Well, that actually explains the sagging eyes and the melancholy face. Also might be a likely explanation of why these photos were taken: people just like documenting themselves trying out stuff.

[-] Banana@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

Bong or dab rig, definitely.

Does just viewing this thread trigger a message from her wth

she's watching you...

[-] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 1 day ago

Has anyone gone to her other links? Matrix, discord, etc?

[-] Yoga@lemmy.ca 5 points 23 hours ago

Friendica has an address of a grocery store outside of Toronto that she supposedly works at.

Would be funny to call and ask for her.

I tried the Matrix, it didn't seem to exist :/ Then I tried Frendica, and found out that my ISP blocked the main Frendica instance. I'm too lazy to use Tor and wait for the slower bandwith to load Frendica, or to find out other Frendica instances and search from there.

[-] Yoga@lemmy.ca 3 points 23 hours ago

I'm not on Matrix but it appears there are 18 people on the server.

I am so happy the Fediverse chick wrote me a DM, which really means Lemmy is growing!

[-] jonne@infosec.pub 12 points 1 day ago

It is showing that there's a lot of work to be done to deal with the spam issue. It's basically relying on every individual instance admin to moderate their stuff and defederate from other instances that drop the ball. If Lemmy gets big enough for spammers to really try to attack it, the admins will quickly get overwhelmed.

[-] Rhaedas@fedia.io 5 points 1 day ago

This is from a Kbin/Mbin viewpoint, but from the very start a year or so ago spam was incredibly bad, usually porn. It was common to daily add more to the filter to see other postings. Then one day it got a lot better, either through a version update or better moderation control. I was even able to clear the old filters and not be flooded anymore. These pfishing attempts from Nicole and a few other names before her are the first ones I've seen in a long time. I just wish I could delete them from my PMs, for some reason that option isn't present at all.

Beh it's the NSA fishing for incels

[-] Simulation6@sopuli.xyz 9 points 1 day ago

They must have more incels then they know what to do with at this point. Must be the FBI.

[-] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

The FBI is literally run by incels.

Must be the CIA.

[-] RobotZap10000@feddit.nl 20 points 1 day ago

Whoever hacked this poor fellow's webcam seems to have captured a much better photo to use in their scams.

[-] Aggravationstation@feddit.uk 7 points 1 day ago

Does anyone know if the image is AI or if someone's pics have been stolen?

Probably the latter; the person, background, and outfit (when they didn't change it) look too consistent between images for it to be AI.

[-] Decoy321@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Lol good job, op. Sorry, I almost banned you thinking you were "her" again, trying to circumvent their own ban.

Ooh they've updated the friendica url - new urls to add to the block list!

Man, why do you have to be so mean to the Fediverse Chick :(

[-] Demigodrick@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

I thought I was unique, I was the one. It was true love, man. To find out about this betrayal, breaks my heart.
