Despite our regular and ceaseless propensity for committing harrowing atrocities to our very selves and to each other, it is rather infrequent that those atrocities reach a degree of such searing monstrousness that the very universe itself actively contrives to remove our existence with perfectly justified malice. This man’s scalding torment is one such example, and we are not at all much longer to be tolerated by this coil.
