Sorry, but it looks like burned pancakes with mustard and swimming in a pool of whisky. You need to cook them at a lower temp. I'm going to make some for breakfast right now just to get this image out of my head. I'll even make eggs to go with it like you did.

Edit: here are mine. I dislike peanut butter on pancakes, but I'm doing it.

You're crazy. Learn the Ramsey method of making eggs and they'll look like this.

Cook pancakes using the lowest heat setting possible, and preferably a gas burner. Watch them like a hawk and flip them as soon as you can.

I’m sure they taste great, but I thought you covered them with jam at first. :)

Why a gas burner specifically? Induction stove tops are more controllable

[-] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 months ago

For a lot of people, stoves are either electric or gas. I doubt induction was given any thought here. But I agree.

Why on earth would they be better on a cancer stove

This looks great, but honestly your last one with all the meat looked great too

I love J. Kenji López-Alt! He’s one of the people who inspired me to do more home cooking and learn the fundamentals!

Is that jam on toast? With eggs? And pancakes with syrup! Is your drink sweetened as well?

You damn sugar addict.

This made me want to make breakfast

It is . . . acceptable. nom nom nom nom nom

Both variants are hearty and hefty, they look like something I'd have eaten in amounts which would've made me hate myself for about two hours afterwards!

It's just that my digestive tract really can't handle this type of food without repercussions anymore :(

Thoroughly hope you've enjoyed both the previous one and this as well! Living my best life through you!:))
