If only there was some kind of method for safely removing infectious diseases from milk.

[-] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 110 points 1 year ago

Honestly milk is just bad for cats in general.

[-] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 36 points 1 year ago

I love plenty of things that are bad for me.

[-] Evotech@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Exactly, your still have it

[-] HellsBelle@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 year ago

Because humans can make educated decisions for themselves.

Housecats lack that ability.

** arguably many humans seem to as well.

[-] Steve@startrek.website 1 points 1 year ago

They have better judgment than dogs. Many dogs die from biting poisonous cane toads, but cats almost never do, because they leave the toads alone.

[-] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 year ago

You can get milk made for cats that they usually like just as much

[-] BakerBagel@midwest.social 1 points 1 year ago

It doesn't matter, my cats are way more interested in the sour cream spoon laying in the sink instead

[-] Nonononoki@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Lactose free milk is okay for cats

[-] Rhaedas@fedia.io 14 points 1 year ago

I've got a friend Louie that's been working on something...

[-] lnxtx@feddit.nl 6 points 1 year ago

Two shots of vodka will be enough?

[-] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 4 points 1 year ago

Do you mean remeowing it?

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 78 points 1 year ago

Someone tell RFK, Jr.! He'll drive the family over so they can watch him skin them and preserve the skulls!

[-] expatriado@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

instructions unclear, cat found on Griffith Park

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

No, it's fine to take its skull away first. It's not like it's a bear.

[-] ramsorge@discuss.online 69 points 1 year ago

Stop giving your cat milk!!!! Ffs, they shouldn’t be drinking milk anyway.

Some people are morons.

[-] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Some cats don’t have digestive issues with milk. That said, you’re right. Don’t gamble with giving your cat the shits over a treat. There are plenty of decent treats for cats that milk isn’e necessary.

[-] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 42 points 1 year ago

Health officials said in a statement that people who had direct contact with the cats are now being monitored for symptoms and have been offered Tamiflu or other antiviral medications.

As if the people feeding their cats raw milk would take antivirals rather than megadosing vitamine C.

[-] kautau@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Vitamins? Even that's not homeopathic enough. They'll probably find this trash AI article and trust it to be true https://www.lybrate.com/topic/homeopathic-and-natural-remedies-for-lactose-intolerance/007d52bee0db5ad3dd7b085b5acca3b0

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 33 points 1 year ago

Milk isn't good for cats. It's hard on their digestive systems.

This is still awful. If water killed my kitties, I'd be very upset.

[-] MTK@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago

I hope they mean the musical performers

[-] hakunawazo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

At least some edits of that abomination of a musical are funny (and nsfw).

[-] ElcaineVolta@kbin.melroy.org 3 points 1 year ago

well, the cows will definitely die

[-] Iamsqueegee@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 year ago

You pasteurize after milking!

[-] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)
