100% agree.

Hardcore is pretty much the only version of WoW I care to play, and I say that as someone's who's played since beta.

You have to plan a bit, think a bit, and it's not just running through smashing an AOE button until you hit endgame and then run off to go raiding.

It's not any "harder" than normal classic, or whatever, but you have to be a lot more involved with what's going on and on top of shit, which means it's waaay more engaging.

Shit like a harpy respawn behind you can absolutely kill your ass, so you kinda have to watch where the mobs are, how they path, and then pick a safe spot to pull them to, vs the classic and retail run-into-the-middle yolo shit.
